Shopping is for two male lovers expecting a child

"Mikey, what is it now?" Butcher frowned. It was getting worse, they needed to find out why soon.

"Sorry Mike." Butcher studied Mike before drawing his wings back out and throwing his arms around the other man. "We're going back home?"

Butcher took off after Mikey. "I hope I don't drop you. Or crash. I'm not that great at this yet." He grinned.

Ryland stolled carefully down the sidewalk until he came upon a maternity store. "Female maternity clothes, William?" Ryland raised an eyebrow and sat on a bench outside the shop. "You could have had something tailored."

Wren sat down beside Ryland, smirking slightly as she too realised what William was looking for. She glanced to Ryland before deciding simply to wait, glancing round her warily before sitting back to wait.

"I don't really want to go in... that store. Do you?" Ryland tried to relax on the uncomfortable bench. "We can wait for him to come out."

Wren frowned. "It wouldn't be my first option." she agreed. "But if you want I can double check he's in there for you." she added.

Ryland looked over his shoulder at the hideous clothing in the display window, "I wouldn't want anyone to suffer that." His eyebrow twitched.

Wren caught sight of the clothes and held back a shudder. "Dear Lord, that's worse than the stuff my local priest wore when I was a child." she muttered, staring at it incredulously.

"We may have to burn Carden's closet. I can't have William wearing stuff like that," Ryland rubbed his eyes to see if they weren't just playing tricks on him. "God they look worse now!" He groaned.

Wren bit back a small giggle, not wanting to seem foolish. "If it helps, I think William's reaction will be similar to your's, my lord. I doubt he'll willing wear something like that, if it's any consolation." She took another look at the shop window and pulled a face. "Oh yeah, Father Peterson had better taste than that." she confirmed grimly, her voice low and quiet.

Ryland turned to face forward again. "I think it's burning a hole in the back of my head," he chuckled.

Wren nodded. "Hmm." she agreed. "I'm sure that's a common reaction." she smirked suddenly. "Maybe that's why Carden went in there." she joked. "A new tactic or just a chance to show off?"

Ryland chuckled when he realized the reaction the humans inside must have had to a pregnant William. "Now he's doing our job for us, making the humans uncomfortable. He might as well sign up as an honorary clan member."

Wren smirked. "My lord, I thought we had just finished weeding the weeklings out?" she replied. She thought again. "But if we're lucky one or the two of them will end up blinded by the clothes."

"We should have kept one from the metro and pushed him in to check for us," Ryland laughed at the thought of it.

Wren laughed with him. "Well, if we spot any more we can push them in. The Lord knows the humans would only be more confused if it was a boy we used." she added.
