Shopping is for two male lovers expecting a child

"I thought you were once before," Ryland kept his voice steady, kept himself from grabbing William by the back of the neck and dragging him home. He's not mine anymore, but the child is. "But I proved to be... wrong." Or I made you miscarry which would have been unfortunate.

"How come you never told me?" William asked with disgust and shock in his voice. He looked like he was going to cry, but he held in all of his tears. He wouldn't let Ryland see them fall anymore.

Mike hesitated. He wanted to make Ryland shut up because he knew it was hurting William but, on the other hand, he wanted to know more. He simply took William's hand.

"You were a lot younger. I thought maybe I wasn't reading you right." Ryland's eyes flashed a warning. Don't push me, Beckett. I've been easy on you all these years. You have no idea what I could do to you.

"Bastard!" William hissed. "You could have told me, you fucking bastard!" He let a few tears slip out as he stared at Ryland with that same look of fear and hatred.

"William, calm down, please..." Mike wrapped his arms around the boy's waist to keep him from fighting, just in case. He bit his lip. Ryland, I'll fucking kill you someday. Just not now.

"You weren't ready," Ryland said coldly. "I know what's best for you, William. Right now it's this," he sneered at Mike. "But I will be back."

He reached out and brushed a finger against William's cheek lightly before snapping to the side a second later to punch Mike in the face. "Goodbye for now," he smirked and waved over his shoulder as he left, tossing his newspaper in a trash can next to the street. Are you going to follow, foolish boy?

William moved out of Mike's arms and followed Ryland. "You fucking bastard! You sadistic fucking bastard!" William yelled as he followed Ryland. "I can't wait until the day you burn in hell!"

Mike wanted to run after William but he felt something warm drip down his nose and on his upper lip. He wiped it and looked at the blood on his hand. There was a lot of it, and it made him kind of dizzy.

Ryland spun around and grabbed William by the neck, "You little... I don't expect for you to understand what I've given to you. The least you could do would be tending to the little lover I've so graciously let you keep. Stay, before I regret what I've done." Ryland lifted William slightly higher with every forced syllable.

He put William down and dragged him back to Mike. "Once the child is born I will give up my claim on you. Do you hear me? If we cross paths again I will show you no mercy." He flashed a glare at the bleeding Mike before turning to leave again.

William fell to his knees as he was dropped neck to Mike. He gasped for air before saying anything. "You don't get your hands near my child," he hissed. Tears were streaming from his eyes as he held his throat, still gasping for breath.

"Your child," Ryland scoffed. "Any little brats you have with Mike you can keep but the baby in you now is mine." He continued walking away without looking back.

William was still struggling to breathe. "You're not coming near this child! I won't let you!" he sobbed out as he stared at the ground, his tears staining the cement sidewalk.

"You'd be in no condition to stop me," Ryland called loudly over his shoulder, aware of the human passers-by staring and not caring a bit.

Mike wrapped an arm around William, his other hand covering his bleeding nose. "It won't happen, Bill," he whispered. "I won't let him do anything."

William stood up and ran over to chase Ryland, still struggling for air. He ran up to the man and stood in front of him, trying to stop him from walking away. "You're going to leave us alone," he hissed. "This child will have nothing to do with you!"

Ryland turned slowly, speaking in a voice colder than any William had heard him use before, "What did I just tell you?" He punched William in the face just like he'd punched Mike earlier. "I warned you, William. Now you match your boyfriend. The baby has everything to do with me."

He cast William a final warning glance and continued walking. Stay with Carden this time if you know what's good for you.

Mike couldn't take it anymore. Forgetting about his nose, he stood up and ran after Ryland. With all the strenght he had, he punched the man's back.

William fell to his knees again with a groan. He still had tears running down his face as he heard Mike punch Ryland. He couldn't take much more of this.

Ryland was pitched forward, but he pulled himself back to his feet quickly with a sigh. "So you want it that way, Carden." His eyes flashed red and he pounced with inhuman speed, slashing at Mike's back with his sharp fangs and sharpened fingernails.

Mike screamed in pain and fell on his stomach, unable to get up. He lifted his head to look at Ryland. "Give me a couple of months to grow my own fangs," he managed to say before letting out a choked scream again. "Touch our baby and I'll kill you."

William heard Ryland attack, and it was the last straw. William ran over to Ryland and kicked him off of Mike before kneeling down to Mike and holding the guitarist, letting out choked sobs.

Ryland rolled to his feet. "You're lucky you're pregnant, William." He spat on his former mate. "If you'll excuse me I'm going home now. You should do the same."

"Don't touch me!" Mike yelled at William, but quickly took it back. "Sorry, it's just...my back hurts..." He winced. "Let him leave. We'll go home in a minute. I can't walk now."

William slowly backed away from Mike, staring down at his own hands. He was shaking. Still crying, he stared down at his hands in disgust before he covered his face with them. God what have I done?
