Shopping is for two male lovers expecting a child

That could have gone better. Ryland sighed and turned the corner towards the Meagan.

Mike tried to move to hold William and comfort him, but he lost his balance and fell on his back. He screamed, his eyes watering. He knew his shirt was probably drenched in blood when he felt it stick to his skin. "Don't cry, Bill. It's okay." He laid there on the sidewalk, panting, and held out his hand for William to hold.

William sobbed as Mike screamed. Look what I did to him.... He held Mike's hand carefully as he looked down at the guitarist, afraid to touch him in the fear of hurting him again. This is all my fault!

Mike smiled. "See? I'm fine. It's really no big deal. I'm sorry I scared you." The pain in his back was becoming less and less bearable. He closed his eyes and tried to take deep breaths. "We'll go home him a minute."

"I-I should try to get you to a hostpital," William managed to say before another set of sobs shook his frame. He could see that Mike's pain was increasing.

Mike shook his head, his smile fading. "No, no. No need to. What are you going to tell them? That your boyfriend got his ass kicked by a vampire? You could ask them to examine the baby, while you're at it." He rolled back on his stomach and winced as he did so. "Does it look as bad as it feels?" he asked, deciding to stop faking a good condition.

William looked at Mike's back with a horrified expression. "I-I really think I should get you to a hospital...," he said, still staring at the guitarist's back. The cuts were deep and were practically gushing blood.

Mike chuckled, trying to forget about the pain. "It's that bad?" He raised himself on his elbows and grunted. "I can't die, remember? Not like that. It hurts like a motherfucker but it's going to be fine by tomorrow." He exhaled slowly. "Do you think you can help me walk home? I need to get up."

William nodded slowly before standing up himself. He slowly rose to his feet, his legs trembling. "T-tell me when you're ready," he stuttered.

"I'm ready," Mike said, figuring it would only get worse if he waited. He managed to get himself in a somewhat-sitting position. "Don't forget our shopping bags."

William picked the bags up silently, putting them over his scarred wrists. He carefully reached down to Mike, placing a hand on the guitarist's lower back where there weren't any cuts. he used all of his strength to pull Mike up into a standing position, trying not ot touch his back.

Mike grunted and muttered swear words as he slowly stood up, teeth clenched. He smiled weakly. "I'm sorry if people on the street look at us funny." The back of my shirt is kind of drenched in blood. He held on to William. "Okay, we can go. You can start walking, I'll keep up."

"There's always a reason to stare at us funny," William gave the weakest smile he could manage before he put his arm on Mike's lower back again and started a slow walking pace backs towards the house.

"Yeah, good point," Mike replied with a half-hearted grin. He walked at William's pace, careful not to trip up and fall. It's awkward. I know he feels bad for what happened but I don't know what to tell him.

This is all my fault. William cried silently, hoping that Mike wouldn't notice. He hated seeing Mike in so much pain. I caused all of this. It's all my fault.

Wren glanced over her shoulder in surprise as she saw Ryland leaving. So soon? she wondered. She had snuck away when she saw a few humans trying to call the cops. She'd simply all-but dragged them to one side (an alleyway) and gutted them before they could scream, telling anyone they were with they had gone to som place across the other side of the shopping centre.
Dropping the last man's body in surprise, she glanced down at her stained jeans' (which were black, thankfully, and so it didn't look too bad) before hurrying after Ryland.
