A promise for everything you never found...

Cyzarine caught the look but smiled as if nothing were wrong. "Good. Because you'll like this." she held the folder out to him. "Demyx's parents were doing research on avians before they were killed. This is their work. Demyx is letting us use it." she explained, glancing to him. "Can he stay?" she added hopefully.

Demyx stared at the three Avians before him, surpressing a shudder at the two males attitude. He wanted to tell them of all the hard work his parents had put into this..But he honestly couldn't find the words.

Butcher watched in shock as Mikey snatched the folder and tossed into the fire. He hoped that Demyx had another copy for his parents' sake.

Demyx's eyes widened and he stood up straight, knocking his chair back in anger. "What the hell did you do that for you bastard?!" He thundered, advancing towards Mikey. His hair turned black and his eyes went so dark they could be mistaken for black.

Cyzarine stumbled back in surprise, gaping at the crumbling remains of the folder in despair. She started towards the fire, wanting to try and get it back out, even though she knew it was probably too late. But she had to try.
She bit back yelps of mixed pleasure and pain as she reached cautiously into the fire, hoping the others would be too preoccupied to see her do so. She couldn't stop the winces however, nor the blood that formed as she bit her lip hard to keep quiet.

Demyx looked away from Mikey as he heard Cyzarine wince. "Cyzie what the hell are you doing?" He pulled her away from the fire. "Don't do that again!" He turned back to Mikey, anger still visable in his eyes. "Why the hell did you do that!?" He demanded again.

Butcher looked over at Cyzarine, getting up to pull her away from the fire, but noticing Demyx already had. He held her burned hands in his own and when he pulled away a few moments later they were healed. He sat back down silently.

Demyx turned to the other Avain. "Since Mikey clearly can't talk for himself, would you care to explain what made him so twisted that he did that?!" Demyx spat, vemon laced in every word.

Cyzarine's eyes widened at once. "No! Mikey, let him stay! Please, please let him stay!" she begged, still sat on the floor from her incident with the fire.

Demyx glared at him. "Human? Human?!" He took a few steps towards Mikey. "I've read those files, I know how to kill Avains Mikey and I'm quite tempted to kill you right now!" His hand twitched in anger.

Butcher finished his sandwich quickly and stared from Demyx to Mikey. He was pretty sure the Avian man wasn't going to let that little outburst go unpunished.

Cyzarine shuddered at this prospect, feeling certain Demyx's parents wouldn't have done that, since he said they wanted to meet one. Also...Demyx was their son. They had to be nice...right?

Demyx snarled in rage a little. "How dare you! My parents had respect for Avains, they were tourtered to death and still kept your secrets! They would never do that so never say they would!" He roared.

Butcher kept quiet. He didn't want to provoke Mikey's anger further. He was unpredictable.

Anger bubbled up inside Cyzarine, though it was aimed more at Mikey than Demyx. Everything had seemed so good - she'd been smiling when she entered the kitchen. Why did he have to burn the folder?
She looked back at the fire and contemplated trying to salvage it again. Apparently there was a plastic cover or two that was taking it's time burning.

"My parents were different." Demyx hissed. "My mother was half Avian." He paused, he hadnt realised he'd said that outloud. He'd never told anyone that before...
"Besides, my parents wouldn't do that! They wouldn't!" Demyx was getting more angry by the second.

Half Avian? Butcher was surprised. He kept an eye on Cyzarine since she was staring at the fire so intently. He didn't want her to hurt herself again.

Cyzarine didn't stirr as Mikey ran, though she acknowledged it by jumping slightly, not expecting such a reaction. She cocked her head at the fire and braced herself for more pain than she'd recieved from the burns.
She winced in pain as she entered the folder's 'mind', trying to read it's final contents and copy it into her subconscious. She'd only tried it once before, but with the fire in the way, it was more painful than that time.

Demyx raced after Mikey, throwing open the door to the room he was in, fully prepared to scream at him. Upon seeing the Avian in the state he was in, he froze and only managed to say. "You miss them too?"

Butcher got up and rushed after both of them, pushing Demyx out of the way gently to enter the room. He wanted to yell at him for upsetting Mikey but he seemed calm enough.
