Making good on a promise

Butcher took extra care to land gently so he wouldn't jar Mikey unnecesarily.

Butcher flinched when he heard the sound Mikey made and quietly carried his lover into their room. He put the smaller avian down on his bed and carefully unwrapped him, gasping at what he saw. He ripped you apart.

Butcher took off the collar around Mikey's neck and threw it away, staring at the chafed skin it left behind before crawling onto the bed beside the other man. He took Mikey onto his lap and started working on the injuries Ryland inflicted. I don't want to see you this bad ever again, it was breaking his heart.

"Shh," Butcher patted Mikey on the cheek. "We'll get revenge later."

Butcher did what he could with Mikey's injuries. He learned the hard way that he should probably pace himself last time.

Butcher took one slowly, one hand on Mikey, and stared at the baby Angel was carrying.

Butcher smiled as he took Nick and Mikey's baby into his arms. "He's so cute." We have to get Mikey's egg back even if it won't hatch.

I'll take care of him like he was mine. Butcher craddled Mikey's son and stared down in amazement at how much he resembled his father. "How do you feel, Mikey?"

"Mikey?" Butcher didn't want to push it after what the other man had been through.

Butcher obediently took the bottle and drank, staring into Mikey's russet eyes.

"Do you want me to get rid of that for you?" Butcher asked between sips. There were more pressing injuries for him to tend to like Mikey's wing but if it would make his lover feel a little better he'd take the letters away first.

Butcher carefully settled the baby on the bed next to him so the little boy wouldn't fall off and put both of his hands on Mikey's chest. I wonder what his name is...
