We can be lovers

"I'll see what I can do. I'm going to lock the door behind me." He smiled and ducked out through the door heading down stairs.

Xcelia slowly pushed herself into a sitting position and frowned and the baby/puppy at the end of the bed.

John went out the front door and wnadered along past the shops trying to think where he could get blood.

Xcelia hesitantly reached towards the baby at the end of the bed.

Hood stopped, A butcher. He pushed the door open, "Hello?"

Xcelia picked the baby up, squeaking in surprise as it shifted back into a puppy.

A man looked through from the back room. "Yes?"
"Hi, this is going to sound really odd, but do you have any blood?"

"Hi..." Xcelia muttered, putting the puppy on the bed.

"We have ome, but what do you want it for?" Hood had to think quickly, another use for blood.
"Well I've only just moved down here and I've been missing my mums home made black pudding, so I go here send the recipe down and I've got all the other stuff but for the life of me I can't find any blood."

Xcelia smiled faintly as the puppy crawled around the bed, sniffing at the quilt.

Hood paid for the packet of blood and went back to the b and b.

The puppy let out a small muffled growl and padded towards Xcelia, curling up in her lap.

Hood stopped in the kitchen when he got back picking up a milk bottle a rubber glove and some elastic bands.

The puppy shifted back into a baby and began tugging on Xcelia's hair.

Hood juggled all the stuff in to one arm so he could fish the key out of his pocket. "Hello?"

Xcelia looked up, "Hey." She whispered as the baby in her arms patted her stomach. Xcelia hissed furiously, causing the baby to start wailing.

Hood rushed in and dropped all the stuff on a table. He picked up the packet of blood and went over to Xcelia, "Want to trade for a bit?"

Xcelia nodded sadly, moving away from the shrieking child. "I didn't mean too..." She whispered, shaking her head quickly.

Hood laughed, "It's a baby, it's just hungry." He said passing her the blood and picking up the baby.

Xcelia sighed and ripped open the packet of blood with her fangs, draining it hungirly.
The baby stared up at Hood with wide eyes, calming a little.

Hood bounced it and smiled, "Hello." He balanced it on one hip and checked that the milk was warm.

Xcelia clamped her eyes shut and drained the blood as quickly as possible.
Gurgling, the infant patted Hood's arm.

Hood put the baby down for a minute and poured the milk in to the rubber glove sealing the end with a rubber band.

Xcelia watched in confusion, not sure what Hood was doing. With a small squeak, the baby shifted into a puppy.

Hood reached in to the first aid box and pulled out the pin for bursting blisters and used it too make a hole in the tip of one of the fingers.
