We can be lovers

Hood let himself be led through the streets holding John close in his pocket to keep him warm.

Xcelia stopped outside the flat and stepped aside to let Hood go in first.

Hood walked past her stepping through the door and holding it for her.

Xcelia slipped inside and shut the door behind her.

Hood went over to the stairs and walked up the first flight. A thought crossed his mind "Do you ever miss hanging around with other vampires?"

Xcelia shrugged, "I used to when no one understood me, I dont so much now. Why?"

Hood shrugged "Just wondered." He carried on walking.

"And what about you?" Xcelia sauntered gracefully up the steps, "Do you ever miss hanging around with other shifters?"

"Didn't know any before. Plus I still walk the dogs so I don't miss them or anything."

Xcelia nodded, sliding her top hat over her face slightly.

They reached the top of the stairs and Hood looked accross holding his hand out to Xcelia. "Ready?"

Xcelia slid her top hat off and took Hood's hand. "As I'll ever be."

Hood gave her hand a reasuring squeeze and knoicked firmly on the door, listening for any movment on the other side.

"Three...Two...One," Xcelia muttered and, as if on que, the door opened.

Hood smiled at her and then turned to the person at the door. "Hi, we're here about the flat."

Xcelia dropped her head and stayed silent.
"Ah yes," The real estate developer beamed, "Do come in, I take it you've got the money for the deposite?"

Hood nodded and without looking at Xcelia he stepped through in to the flat.

Xcelia followed slowly, hands sliding into her coat pockets.

Hood talked to the man and handed over the money taking the key from him. "Thank you." said hood as they completed the apper work.

Xcelia glared at the real estate developer un-trustingly, standing behind Hood like a cloud of death.

"We plan to move in tonight if thats not a problem." the developer looked suprised but nodded the smile returning inswtantly.

A small hiss escaped Xcelia's lips as she glared at the developer.

Hood looked at her, "Whats up?" He whispered.

Xcelia crossed her arms, "Get out." She told the developer bluntly.
He blinked, "But-"
"I said, get out!" She hissed.

While the developer scrambeled for the door Hood turned to Xcelia with a confused look "What was that all about?"
