We can be lovers

Xcelia took a deep breath and sat up, trying not to scream as pain shot through her.

Hood bust back in to the room dropping the first aid kit next to Xcelia on the bed he he stopped looking her in the face trying to calm down. "What happened?" He whispered.

Xcelia took a deep breath. "My...Old...Master..."

Hood opened the first aid kit. "I don't know what to do, but I'll trying to stop the bleeding first." He fold his shirt and placed it over her belly wound.

Xcelia yelped, her body jerking.

"I'm sorry, I have to apply pressure though." He was crying again. He lifted her back alittle so he could pass a bandage under her.

Xcelia nodded, "Why is there a baby at the end of the bed?"

"Umm.... about that, I was heading back and there was this dog giving birth... it died....and I think that the babies mine." He couldn't bring himself to look at her as if finished tieing the bandage.

Xcelia blinked, "Right." Pain shot through her again and she hissed.

Hood took out a dressing and applied it to her leg wound. "It was months ago, before I met you...I'm sorry."

Xcelia shook her head. "You don't have to be sorry."

"I should have told you." He said as he finished, still averting his gaze with guilt.

Xcelia slowly sat up, kissing his face. "What does it matter? I know now."

Hood looked up at her just as there was a squeak from the other end of the bed. "Speaking of it, I'll have to find a way to feed it."

Xcelia nodded, suddenly passing out from pain.

Hood lookedround as Xcelia fell back on to the bed. "One problem at a time." he muttered getting a packet of pain medecin from the first aid kit.

Xcelia opened her eyes again, pupils bloodshot. "I'm fine...I just need a drink."

"you sure you don't want any pain medicine?" asked Hood conserned.

"A drink." Xcelia repeated stubbornly, "Is it still light out?"

"yeh." said Hood "I'm just going to run downstairs and get you a drink and sort out the puppy."

"You do realise what I mean when I say drink don't you?" Xcelia slurred, vision blurring.

"I may not be very good at this stuff but I know when someone wants a bottle of something." He smiled and stood up going over to the door.

Xcelia rolled her eyes. "I mean blood, Hood."

Hood stopped, that was more tricky. "And it has to be human?" He asked hopeful.

Xcelia wrinkled her nose. "That'd be nice, but I can get by with animal blood for now..."
