Mike retrieved the paper bag from his wardrobe, taking out a red shirt and a pair of pants. He rubbed his palms together before taking briefs and warm socks he could lend to William and handing them to his boyfriend.

William smiled, dropping the duvet from around him. "Th-thanks," he shivered, quickly sliding on the boxers. He then reached for the pants, sliding them on with ease. He grinned in satisfaction. Next he slid on his shirt, noticing how it emphasized the size of his growing stomach, He carefully pulled on the socks and continued shivering, still cold.

Mike put on his own clothes, and carefully picked two large navy sweaters for him and William. He gave one to the boy and smiled. "It's not your size, but I don't think I know what your size is anymore." He glanced at the bed and made a disgusted face. "Laundry time."

William put on the sweater and chuckled at how snug it was. He smiled over at Mike. "I'll clean them," he volunteered, knowing that he'd need practice doing extra cleaning soon.

Mike shook his head. "No, I'll just put them in the washing machine. No big deal." He took the bedsheets in a pile, trying to keep them away from his body as much as he could. "It's just too bad the laundry room is downstairs. I'll get weird looks."

William smirked. "You get those on your own," he chuckled. He walked over and kissed Mike on the cheek. "I'm sure if they were in the house earlier they would have heard us. There was no chance that they didn't," he bit his lip and made a fake worried face.

Mike's cheeks flushed. "We'll have to be quiet once the babies are born. I don't want to explain the basic principles of life earlier than I should have to." He considered simply throwing the bedsheets down the stairs for a second or two, but decided against it. He sprinted out of the room and down the stairs, hoping to reach the laundry room before he could be seen.

William chuckled as he walked out of the room, following his fiance. He walked down the stairs slowly, adjusting to how he's have to start walking form then until his children were born. Keeping a hand on the railing at all times, he kept the other one on his stomach, rubbing it over the sweater he had been given.

Mike put the bedsheets inside the washing machine, never noticing the stray red shirt at the bottom, and switched it on. He leaned on the wall and slowly exhaled, eyes closed.

William made it all the way down the stairs slowly, making sure not to fall. All of his efforts became useless as his foot slipped and he fell off the last stair, landing on his knees. He frowned, hoping htat no one had seen him, although he doubted that the thump! of his fall didn't ring throughout the house.

Mike's heart skipped a beat when he heard the sound. He ran out of the room and to the stairs, where he saw William on the ground. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" He lowered himself to look at him. Judging that the boy wasn't hurt at all, he started laughing.

William looked up at Mike and pouted. "I'm fine, but I doubt I can get back up," he tried to stiffle his laughter. He looked back at his feet. "Clumsy, clumsy," he murmured, looking back up at Mike.

Mike looked at him with wide eyes. "What do you mean, can't...?" He playfully slapped William's shoulder and frowned. "Come on, you're exagerating." He wrapped his arms around the boy and, with much effort, got him on his feet. "Heavyyy," he whined. "No more stairs for you."

William gave Mike a skeptical look. "What do you mean, 'no more stairs'?" he asked, balancing himself against a nearby wall. He inhaled and exhaled deeply.

"What do you mean, 'what do you mean'?" He smirked. "We're either getting an elevator or a bedroom on the first floor. Stairs are a danger for you...or the other way around."

William pursed his lips in anger at Mike, glaring into his eyes. "I am not a danger to your stairs," he stuck out his tongue. "I'm not that big!" He continued leaning against the wall.

"Aw, come on Bill. You know I was kidding." Mike slid both of his cold hands under William's shirts and put them on his stomach with a grin.

William's eyes widened and he shivered, moving his hands to hold onto Mike's forearms. "C-cold!" he whimpered.

Mike snorted and quickly removed his hands. "Sorry." He rubbed them together for warmth.

William smiled. "You startled me. You can put your hand back if you want though. I think my stomach is the only warm part on my body," he laughed quietly, shivering.

"I can't believe it's so cold," Mike muttered, stomping both feet on the ground, still shivering. "We're having December babies. If you go in labor outside you're going to give birth to blocks of ice." He frowned.

William frowned, still shivering. "It's never been quite this cold this early," he murmured. He rubbed his stomach until he finally realized all of what Mike had said. "One of the coldest months of the year and I get to give birth," he chuckled, his teeth chattering slightly.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "You know what this house has? A fireplace." He walked to the living room, not waiting for William to follow, but groaned when he saw there was nothing to make a fire with. "Nevermind," he called out.

William shivered, running his hands up and down his forearms, still standing still. "I think I can see my breath," he laughed, actually able to see it slightly in front of him.

Mike walked out of the room, in again, and finally out. "There's definitely something wrong with the temperature." He opened the front door and was greeted by a chilling gust of wind. He closed it instantly. "Fucking global warming. It killed the weather."
