Birthing Room

Ryland didn't say a word to Aliceabella as he rushed her to a different room. He opened turned the doorknob quickly and opened the door with his foot to reveal a plain, clean room.

Aliceabella closed her eyes and let out a soft breath. "You were going to leave me..." She repeated.

"There's a reason my mate reminds me of you," Ryland put Aliceabella down gently. "You'll have to remove your underwear if you're wearing any."

Aliceabella blushed and tried to sit up before gasping in pain. "I...can't..." She bit her lip.

Ryland sighed and gently hiked up the girl's dress and pulled her underwear down and off. "Relax." He pushed her into a better position and spread her legs, looking down. "You're definitely dialated."

Aliceabella frowned. "W..What, does...that mean?" She took a deep breath and then bit her lip as pain shot through her.

"The opening is getting wider to prepare for pushing the baby out," Ryland kept an eye on it, all business. "If you have complications I will summon a doctor but for now I should be able to help you. Just don't assume that I'm a nice man for this."

Aliceabella laughed bitterly. "Wouldn't dream of it." Her tone conatined a great deal of mallice.

Ryland let his facial expression go blank, the way he touched Aliceabella the complete opposite to the way he handled Mikey just minutes ago. "I'm going to need you to start pushing."

Aliceabella nodded weakly and did as he asked, grabbing tufts of material in her hands as pain shot through her.

Ryland looked up to her face and offered his hand, "Squeeze as hard as you can."

Aliceabella smiled weakly in thanks and took his hand, letting out a gasp and digging her nails into his hand as pain shot through her. She pushed as hard as she could, letting out sharp breaths.

"Good," Ryland made no sign that he was in any pain at all. "I think it's coming closer."

Aliceabella nodded and groaned again. "I dont even want this baby..." She hissed. "It can't be worth all this pain." She pushed again.

"You don't want the baby? Would you like me to take it?" Ryland asked calmly. "Push."

Aliceabella moaned again and pushed harder. "If you want a demented demon on your hands." She let out a gasp and pushed again. "Damian was desperate for a baby with me, purely because he knew it would be powerful..." She trailed off and pushed again.

"You can decide what to do after this," Ryland placed his cold free hand on her leg to try to get her to remember to breathe.

Aliceabella bit her lip, trying to ignore the tingling sensation that shot up her leg at his touch. She took a few deep breaths and pushed harder.

"I think I see the head," Ryland looked back down. "Keep doing that just don't strain yourself."

Aliceabella nodded and closed her eyes, tears escaping her eyes as she pushed harder. Suddenly she opened her eyes and frowned at Ryland. "Why do I remind you of your old mate?"

"I got him pregnant too although he lost my babies. I treated him how I imagine Damien must have treated you," Ryland shrugged. "He hates injustice, is trusting, and he doesn't want to be alone."

Aliceabella pushed again and shook her head. "No one could possibly have treated him that badly. Besides-" She paused to push again. "You may have been going to leave me in that..place, but your not as bad as Damian."

Ryland just grunted and kept his face blank.

Aliceabella frowned. "How did that bird boy know your old mate?"

"William goes crying to him when his new mate gets on her nerves," Ryland smiled slightly. "I've seen a woman who could hold a conversation while in labor."
