Birthing Room

Ryland lifted her feet to slip into her panties one at a time and slid them up as far as he could. "Arch up for me."

Aliceabella did as he asked, swaying ever so slightly. "You avoided my question." She pointed out. "I have money, if thats what your worried about."

Ryland pulled her underwear on all the way and let his hands rest on her hips. "You don't need to pay a thing as long as you're my guest."

Aliceabella stared up at him, a small smile on her face. "Well..." She laughed weakly. "Alright, you win, I've got no comeback for that one." She frowned. "But what about the other vampires? I am partly human after all."

Ryland gently brushed her cheek with a finger. "No one will touch you. Hold your arms up."

Aliceabella nodded softly and did as he asked, blinking as a sharp vision hit her. Aliceabella's eyes widened and she stumbled slightly, gripping tightly to Ryland to stop herself from falling.

Ryland held Aliceabella firmly and watched her in concern.

Aliceabella closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath before opening her eyes. "Sorry about that, those things annoy me greatly." She began to trace patterns on Ryland's shirt with her fingertips.

"Ryland chuckled, "You'll have to hold your arms up again so I can slip your dress on."

Aliceabella nodded and smiled at him before slowly holding her arms up in the air.

Ryland slipped the dress over her head and pulled it down slowly. "If you wish your child will be taken to the nursery. He'll need a name first."

Aliceabella paused and stared blanky at the baby for a few moments. "Name it what you want." She whispered after a moment. "I honeslty don't care." She looked away from the baby and stared at the floor, tears stinging in the back of her eyes.

"You know what to do," Ryland waved the woman holding Aliceabella's child away. He scooped the mother up bridal style. "Back to your room now."

Aliceabella rested her head against Ryland's chest and smiled softly. "I dont even remember where that is."

Ryland paused and headed towards his own room since he remembered that Aliceabella didn't want to be alone.

Aliceabella snuggled into his arms a little, yawning slightly. "You know that bird boy." She yawned. "He must have done something to hurt you, otherwise I doubt you would of gone there and- done what you did." She glanced up at him.

Ryland made a noncommital noise and opened the door to his room. He crossed it silently and set her down on his bed.

Deciding not to press the manner Aliceabella stayed silent, smiling at him. "Thank you." She mumbled sleepily.

Ryland nodded and walked over to the couch in his adjoining room to sit.

Aliceabella stared after him, feeling the fimilar dread creeping up inside her.
"He's not gone...He's still there, it's alright..." She whispered, closing her eyes and whimpering a little.

Ryland's sharp ears picked up Aliceabella's whispere and he stood up and walked back to the bedside. "Something wrong?" He asked, eyebrows raised.

Aliceabella shook her head quickly. "No." She whispered. "I'm fine." She put on her best fake smile in hopes he'd believe her.

"No, you're not," Ryland chuckled, looking amused.

Ryland suddenly straightened and grinned. "I'll be right back. Don't leave the room." He ran out as swiftly as possible.
