"Yeah," he laughed. "But I can't just walk away now can I?" He had a feeling that Ryland guy wouldn't let him leave the city unscathed.

William kept silent. He didn't want to say anything to make the situation harder to explain. The whole conversation was beginning to make him feel a little uneasy.

Mike shrugged. "I don't know. You did stab a vampire." Of course you can't get away. They're probably all after you.

Brad laughed. "Not very friendly of me."

He breathed deeply. "What should I do now?"

William shrugged. "Whatever you want to, I guess. Just make sure you watch your back when you're out and about. Or just when you're alone. I'm not sure what they're capable of," he said as he bit his bottom lip softly again.

"Yeah. I've been fighting vampires and Avians for quite a while now, and they still surprise me," Mike admitted, taking William's hand.

Brad stiffened. He suddenly felt like he was going to be sick. He decided to check his blood sugar just in case even though he knew it wasn't that. "Hey something's coming."

William smiled up at Mike as he spoke. He squeezed the guitarist's hand a little. But as soon as Brad spoke, William became concerned. "What do you mean?"

Mikey swooped to the window and tapped on it. "Can Mike come out and play?"

Mike almost shoved William off the couch. "Shit," he muttered under his breath. "Mikey Russell. Avian," he quickly explained. "Brad, can you watch over Bill for me?"

Butcher crash landed on Mike's roof. "Ow..." He meant to aim for the ground and missed by several feet.

Cyzarine hovered a way above Mike's roof, wondering whether she should risk landing. After seeing Butcher crash land, she swooped a little lower, but stayed put when she saw he was okay.
She'd stay in the air and watch, for now.

"What's an Avian?" Brad looked to Wililam and pulled his knive out of his backpack, unsheathing it just in case.

It's a hybrid mix of a bird, a bat, and a human," William whispered as he stared out the window. "We're also fighting them along with the vampires," he said while standing up. "Mike, can I go with you?"

Mikey burst out laughing as Butcher crumpled onto the roof. "Andrew, you need to practice!" It was good to laugh. He shook his hair back and stared arrogantly through the window. "Hey, our little playmate's coming!"

"Andrew?" Mike echoed. Still holding William's hand, he nodded. "Just this once, but..." He handed him his gun. "Keep this. If we start fighting, get inside. Okay?" He walked to the entrance door and opened it, avoiding the grocery bags on the floor.

"Thanks for your sympathy," Butcher stood slowly, testing his wings. "I'm fine."

Cyzarine really wasn't sure what to do. She flew down to hover just above the rooftop, blinking at Butcher in concern.
"Are you okay?" she asked, well aware that panic was goign to break out, and that if she had one of her 'fits of madness', there would be trouble. Either now, or later, there would be trouble.

Brad walked to a window and opened it to look out. He was supposed to take care of William so he supposed he should stay and wait for the vampire to come back in.

William nodded slowly, a little afraid to hold the gun. He grabbed ahold of one of Mike's hands and followed him out the door, hoping that this wouldn't result in another battle.

"Let's play hide and seek." Mikey hissed, smirking. His wings gently fluttered, keeping him in the air.

Mike walked outisde with William close to him, looking up at Mikey. "Why are you here for? I thought I had been clear."

Butcher smiled at Cyzarine hopefully and tried his wings again. "I don't think anything's broken."

Cyzarine smiled back and flew back so he could join her in the air. Not waiting to see this, she flew down to peer through a window,wondering if Mike had any back up left inside.

Brad jumped back, holding his knife out. He had no idea what an Avian's weakness was. He gulped and shut the window, retreating to another room and locking the door behind him.
