William's eyes widened slightly. "He must have damaged something when he fell," William whispered mostly to himself.

"Don't just shrug at us," Mike told the vampire, concerned. "Don't you have any other means of communication? Anything?"

William forgot about how tired and stressed he was and focused on Matt. He was really worried about the boy. He shook his head. "If he can't respond mentally, he can't respond at all," he frowned.

Matt resisted the urge to shrug again, knowing that it annoyed Mike. He blinked slowly.

William sighed, moving forward to hug Matt quickly, afraid that the boy wouldn't like it. He moved back, putting his hand to his forehead again. "What are we going to do?" he nearly whispered.

Matt shivered as a small child would, his shoulders moving in strange directions.

Mike shook his head, frowning slighlty. "It's alright. It doesn't matter. Just nod to agree, okay?" He sighed. "Do you know where Sisky is?"

Sisky listened from a distance, head tilted down so her face was cast in shadow.

William looked up the stairway, noticing Sisky. He looked back at Matt, still frowning. He moved a few pieces of stray hair behind the boy's ear.

William managed a smile for Matt. He looked over at Sisky. "Hey Sisky, you don't have to be the stranger on the stairs, you know." He rubbed his tired eyes again.

Matt rubbed the back of his head selfconsciously, blushing.

Mike jumped at the mention of Sisky. "You're here? Are you alright?" He walked up to her and attempted to move a hand awat from her face. "Thanks for taking care of Matt."

"I'm fine," Sisky said tersely, swatting Mike's hands away. "I just... I dunno." She shrugged and stood shakily.

William closed his eyes for a moment, staggering backwards. He opened his eyes and struggled to stand up straight. He held onto the stair railing so that he wouldn't fall down.

Mutely, Matt picked up William as if he weighed less than air. He checked he was comfortable before beginning to carry him up the stairs to the bedroom.

Mike smiled slightly, watching Matt. He turned his head back to face Sisky. "Come on. Look at me. What's wrong? Is it about him?"

William closed his eyes once Matt picked him up. He frowned. "I have to go clean the scars for you," he whispered, fighting to stay awake.
