William shook his head. It's toxic. You don't feed that to people unless you're trying to kill or poison them. He frowned.

William nodded. From my understanding, he tested drugs on the both of us while I was pregnant with you. Feeding you that was probably a test to see if the original drugs worked. He frowned, turning back around as the water started boiling. He turned off the stove and sat the pot down, reaching over to pour the noodles into a bowl. He then reached back over and poured the water into the bowl of noodles, hissing and yelping as some of the boiling water fell onto his hand.

Matt grabbed his hand and placed it under the cold tap.

William tried to smile as he looked down at his hand. Well that's going to leave a blister. He took his hand out from under the faucet. Turning around to face Matt, he waited as the noodles cooked in the bowl. He smiled through his pain.

Still hungry, Matt raised his hand to his mouth, slitting it gently. He pressed the bloody hand to his mouth.

William's eyes widened again and he frowned. He was happy when he noticed that the noodles had finished cooking. Grabbing a strainer and another bowl out, he strained the noodles from the water and put them into the second bowl, setting a fork next to it. You can start eating that if you like. I'll cut up the apple.

William walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed an apple. He walked back over to the counter and noticed that Matt was looking at the fork. He frowned. You don't know how to use it, do you...?

William smiled slightly. He set the apple down on the counter and walked over to the bowl. Okay. So first you pick it up, and put it in the food. William followed his own instructions with the fork to demonstrate. Then you pick up a small bite of the food, and then you eat it. He picked up a small amount of the noodles on the fork and pretended that he ate some before setting the fork and noodles back into the bowl, not willing to eat. Now you try.

Matt narrowed his eyes in concentration as he began to eat. Suddenly, he held out a forkful for William, raising an eyebrow in challenge.

William smiled at his son, shaking his head slightly. No thank you. You eat it. He reached over into a drawer and pulled out a knife. He bit his lip in thought, deciding how to cut the apple, considering the fact that Matt was missing his tongue.

William continued smiling. I fed earlier. I don't need anything right now, but thank you. He looked over at Matt before cutting the apple into fourths, and then into half again and again until they were very small pieces. He reached down another bowl and put the small pieces into it, moving it over towards the vampire.

William smiled at how caring the boy was being. I fed earlier though. I'm fine for right now. He reached a hand over and ruffled Matt's hair a little.

Matt pouted and continued eating the noodles. He tilted his head back to swallow.

William smiled and leaned back on the counter, his elbows supporting him. He shivered, one hand rubbing his stomach. Aren't you cold?

Matt moved his head too fast, choking on his mouthful. He tilted it back and swallowed. He shook his head calmly.

William looked at Matt with concern, shivering again. He walked over and kissed the boy's cheek before scooting back. I'll be right back. He walked out of the kitchen, looking at Mike and Sisky. "Do either of you two want anything to eat?" he asked, cradling the burn on his hand.

Matt rubbed his cheek selfconsciously, finishing the noodles. He brought his legs up and looked at the chopped apple.

Sisky silently raised her second bagel and smiled. "Thanks but I helped myself. I hope you don't mind."
