Matt crossed his legs with a sigh.

William sighed as he made it to the top of the stairs. He shivered as he walked into the bathroom, opening a drawer and looking through its contents. Once he found a brush, he shut the drawer and began walking down the stairs, still moving slowly so he didn't lose his balance.

William walked past the kitchen again, blowing a kiss at Mike as he passed. He began walking down the next set of stairs with a smile, sitting down next to Matt.

Matt tilted his head and looked at William.

William smiled. Do you mind if I brush your hair? he asked, not wanting to do something that Matt wouldn't agree to.

William sighed, reminding himself that Ryland wasn't one to teach or be a real parent. He picked the brush up and put it next to Matt's head. Just hold still. I promise I'll be gentle. He began brushing the side of his son's hair.

William grinned, making sure to be careful. He bit his lip as he reached a knot. He brushed through it gently, noticing jus thow tangled Matt's hair was.

Matt was brilliant at keeping still. He was like a statue.

William smiled as he finished brushing the boy's hair. He leaned over and kissed the top of his head with a smile.

Matt tilted his head up, reaching out a hand to touch his hair. Feels... different.

William nodded. Now it's not so tangled. He sat back on the stair, leaning back with a smile.

Matt shrugged and leant forward slightly, cracking his back.

William shuddered slightly. The sound of cracking bones had always bothered him after living with Ryland. He smiled, still leaning back. Putting a hand to his stomach when he felt one of the babies move, he inhaled and exhaled slowly.

Matt wriggled his shoulders. He looked at his father. Huh?

William smiled. One of the babies is moving. He kept his hadn on the right side of his stomach, rubbing it softly as he continued breathing deeply and slowly.

William continued smiling, still rubbing th eside of his stomach. He shivered. Even if I can't remember it, you were once like this, too.

William frowned slightly. All babies move at some point. Although you probably didn't move this early because you aren't part Avian.

We don't know what I am. Matt curled his fingers gently. Don't know why I'm the way I am; cause it sure wasn't all Ryland.

William nodded. So far we only know that he and I are your parents. More than likely he did something else he wasn't supposed to. But if at some point you want to know, we can go to him and try to make him answer your questions.
