Why can't Avians be pregnant the normal way?

Cyzarine smiled back gently. "Will you play for me?" she asked quietly, eyes shining hopefully.

Demyx nodded. "Sure." He sat down on his bed and began playing a soft lullabye. He knew words to go with it, but decided the music on it's own would do.

Cyzarine's smile widened as she listened, before her eyes started to grow heavier, until she was nearly asleep. She hummed quietly, happily, as he played.

Demyx began mumbling the words under his breath, sounding more like humming than actually singing along.

Her breathing evening out slowly, Cyzarine began slipping in and out of sleep, trying to listen to the captivating melody at the same time. SHe kept on smiling though.

Demyx's mumbling got a little louder until actual words could be heard, though he was careful to not sing or play to loud so Cyzarine could sleep.

Cyzarine smiled and gave up staying awake, the eventful day finally catching up to her. One arm was wrapped loosely round her stomach protectively, and strands of hair fell into her face again. A small, absent smile was left on her face, courtesy of the lullabye.

Demyx finished playing and spread out on the bed, before he began playing again.
"Little child, be not afriad, the rain pounds harsh against the glass..." He mumbled, closing his eyes and drifting off into sleep.
