Why can't Avians be pregnant the normal way?

Demyx seated himself next to her. Slowly he laid a hand on her stomach. "That doesn't hurt does it?" He asked nervously.

Cyzarine shook her head. "It feels good." she replied. She bit her lip, smiling again. "I can't believe there's a baby in there..."

Demyx smiled. "Me either." Then he paused. "So, will the baby be avian or...?"

Cyzarine nodded. "I guess so, since it's being born the Avian way..." she trailed off, cocking her head ot one side curiously. "Also, I'm pretty sure I can see an egg in there. I'm not too sure though, there's too much skin and stuff."

Demyx peered. "I cant see anything. Must just be your eyesight, being better than mine and what not." He smiled a little and began rubbing the bump on her tummy.

Cyzarine giggled a little, humming happily as Demyx rubbed the bump. "I guess so." she frowned. "Hang on." she murmured, putting her hand on top of his, so both were over the bump.

Demyx smiled and looked at Cyzarine as she closer her eyes, she was so pretty. Suddenly he paused as a jerk went through the bump. "Wha was that?" He asked, dazed for some odd reason.

Cyzarine's eyes snapped open as well. She frowned down at the bump, her breathing growing heavier. "I'm not sure." she murmured, stroking her belly and trying to reassure the baby. Shhh... she cooed mentally.

Demyx paused. "It seems alright now." He mumbled, tracing patterns on her stomach.

Cyzarine nodded, smiling. "That feels nice..." she murmured absently, leaning against Demyx gently.

Demyx smiled. "Love you..." His voice trailed off. He knew this would be far harder for Cyzarine than it would be for him...He was still finding it hard to accept though. The woman he loved was going to be having a baby...and it wasn't his.

Cyzarine smiled back, wriggling a little to get more comfortable. "Love you too." she replied quietly, smiling still. She frowned. "Something's troubling you. Want to talk?" she asked, glancing up at him in slight concern. She kenw this was going to be difficult for him too.

Demyx took her hand. "I'll love you no matter what, I hope you know that. It's just...Well I'm still a little shocked I suppose."

Cyzarine nodded. "Me too." she agreed. "I never even considered getting pregnant...it just always seemed too much. Hard to believe, really." she added, looking at the bump again. She cocked ehr head to one side cutely. "Did it just grow?" she wondered.

Demyx paused. "Looks like it." He stood up. "I'll let you get some rest." Before she could answer he walked from the room.

Cyzarine blinked, sighed and lay down carefully. She turned onto her side, her back to the door, and watched the window - which was still broken, she realised. Her eyes soon grew tired, though, and it wasn't long before she had fallen asleep, her expression light and peaceful once more.

Demyx walked through the halls, hands stuffed into his pockets and contemplating the situation. He loved Cyzarine, he'd never leave her...didn't mean this was going to be easy though.

Hatty had been floating through the corridors, trying to think of a way to help Cyzarine and Demyx out. She blinked as she spotted the blonde guitarist, before putting on a burst of speed to catch him up. "Demyx!" she called.

Demyx paused and turned around. "Hey Hatty..." His tone was pretty much a monotone, flat and emptied of life.

Hatty sighed. "You wanna be alone or something?" she asked him. "I'd understand. But, if you wanna talk..." she trailed off, glancing away as the uncomfortable silence got to her.

Demyx sighed. "I love Cyzarine but... I haven't quite gotten over the fact she's going to have Garlands baby."

Hatty nodded. "I don't think she has either. You've seen how scared she is of him." she shook her head. "If I were bigger I'd kick his butt!" she grumbled.

Demyx nodded. "I'm about the same size as him and I can't kick his butt."

Hatty shrugged. "I'd still try." she told him firmly. "Anyways, it's not like she wanted it to be Garland's." she pointed out.

Demyx shrugged. "I suppose."
