Mikey's eyes widened slightly and he used Butcher's arm to pull himself upright. He sat down on the bed. "Tell me."

Butcher got up to sit beside him. "I had to pay some people off so they wouldn't tell about my wings. I just worked out ways not to pay in cash." He shrugged and shivered slightly. "It was a fair deal."

Mikey hugged him again. "I'm truly sorry about that." He whispered. "I should have checked."

"I'm fine. It didn't change me much," Butcher hugged back. "I'm still the same guy I was before."

"I wouldn't know." Mikey murmured. "The only humans I've ever had contact with were Tom, Jon and Adam."

Butcher stayed silent a moment then whispered, "Do you mind if I stay near you tonight?"

"Thank you," Butcher relaxed and let himself curl close to Mikey.

Mikey lay down on the bed, folding Butcher in with his wings. He closed his eyes sleepily.

Butcher stopped shivering and closed his eyes, relaxed by Mikey's touch.

Mikey placed his hands on the other man's hips and fell into a deep sleep.

Mikey's hands made Butcher forget the stranger how had touched his hips before.

Butcher frowned slightly in his sleep and moved to press himself closer to Mikey.

Butcher's eyes fluttered open slowly at the sound of Mikey's voice and he turned slightly to put his hand on the other man's cheek.

Mikey jerked back violently. There was a cracking sound and one of his wings flopped down by his side.

Butcher pulled away with a gasping breath and knelt on the bed to inspect Mikey's wing without touching him too much.

Mikey's eyes flew open and he hissed in pain. "What the...?"

"You had a nightmare," Butcher said weakly, putting a hand on Mikey's wing.

Mikey groaned. "Not again..." He muttered. "I'm sorry Andrew, you should be sleeping, not healing me again."

"I don't mind," Butcher sliped his hand along Mikey's feathers, stopping when he found the broken place he wanted to fix.

"That's the problem." He replied, staring at his injured wing. "I broke it?"

"It's not bad. It's not broken clean through, just a small fracture." He fixed it and lay back down. "You should try to be more careful."
