Mikey slapped a hand to his forehead. "And you can guess what that was about." He muttered. "I blame Nick."

Butcher made a sound to show he was still paying attention although he didn't turn around to face Mikey again.

"What's wrong?" Mikey gently rubbed where Butcher's wings met the skin.

"Mmm that feels good," Butcher relaxed his muscles. "I'll be fine in the morning."

"You help me by being here." Mikey replied, curling his fingers so he was scratching Butcher's back carefully.

Butcher scooted back a little and grabbed one of Mikey's hands, bringing it to his lips to kiss. He held it to his chest. "I'll be here as long as you want me to."

"You might need me longer with the trouble you get in," Butcher chuckled quietly and turned serious. "Forever."

Mikey smiled. "Even after you've seen what I've done?" He asked, gently moving his fingers over Butcher's chest as his hand was held there.

"I've done things I'm not too proud of. I can't judge you. I'm sure you had your reasons," Butcher traced Mikey's fingers with his own. "I don't have anywhere else to go. Don't make me leave."

Butcher turned to look at Mikey over his shoulder. "I think I'm falling in love with you." He turned away again, afraid to watch Mikey's reaction. "If you can't. I understand... I'll give you your space."
