Double pregnancy means two jars of pickles

Mike was reminded that he'd have to constantly check on their children while they slept, and make sure they didn't turn around in their sleep so they could always breathe properly.

William slowly stood up, a hand on the crib to help him keep his balance.

Mike looked up at his boyfriend, unsure if he had to stand up as well.

"Are you okay?" he whispered, smiling down at Mike.

Mike nodded but the time he took to stand up made it seem otherwise. He frowned, a hand on the small of his back.

William reached to help Mike stand up. He looked at the guitarist with concerned eyes. "Is your back starting to feel sore?"

Mike chuckled. "My back is one giant sore spot," he told the man. "I feel twenty years older already."

"I think you might need to stay off your feet then, if it's bothering you," he said quietly. He gently rubbed the man's back. "You need to relax," he smiled.

"No way, I could run if I wanted to. Really, I'm fine." Mike rubbed his back before straightening it. "It's just temporary. I've been sitting for too long."

William shook his head, eyes glancing back down at the crib again. He smiled down at the tiny babies, a fond look in his eyes.

Mike looked down at his stomach. "At this rate, that one won't even fit in a crib."

William smiled, walking over to Mike. He put a hand on the guitarist's stomach. "It's just the egg."

Mike petted his stomach around William's hand. "If all omelets were that size we could solve world hunger."

William chuckled quietly, moving behind the guitarist. He carefully wrapped both arms around the man and placed his hands on the guitarist's stomach.

Mike turned his head to kiss William's neck. "This looks picture perfect."

William smiled, nuzzling into Mike's neck. He held the guitarist close, hands on the man's stomach.

Mike gasped when he felt something move inside his stomach, but otherwise stood still.

William felt the movement with his hand. He bit his lip. "Are you okay? Did it hurt?"

"No," Mike lied. He convinced himself it had been more surprise than pain. "It just moved."

William frowned. "You need to go sit down," he said quietly, taking his arms away from the guitarist and reaching for his hand.

Mike held William's hand tightly, suddenly feeling dizzy and afraid to faint if he let go. "Bill, I don't feel too well..."

William's eyes widened. "What's wrong?" he asked, moving to place an arm behind Mike's back to make sure he kept his balance.

Mike pushed William away more violently than he had intended to, and rushed across the room to throw up inside the pot of a fake plant. He fell to his knees, his head spinning.

William lost his balance and fell backwards, hissing as he landed on his back. His head made a cracking noise as it smacked against the floor. He quickly gathered himself and rushed over to Mike.

Mike took a moment to open his eyes and fully regain his senses. "Nausea," he justified, unaware that he had hurt William.
