Mike unlocked the door and opened it slightly before pushing it the rest of the way with his belly for his own amusement. "Honey, I'm home!" he tried, expecting an answer from any friend (or ex-friend) that might have been staying over. He frowned at the silence.

William smiled at Mike before entering the house and shutting the door. He nearly enjoyed the silence before he heard another whine from one of his children. He almost tripped over the bags that their friends had left by the door earlier that day.

Mike's belly acted as a cushion which William bumped into when he almost fell. "What's wrong with them?" he asked, still noisily eating like it was a compulsive nervous habit.

"I don't know," he frowned slightly, stepping over the bags. He led Mike over to the couch. "Sit down and rest while I try to figure out what's wrong."

Although he wasn't too fond of resting, Mike did as we was told to avoid an argument. "Maybe its fangs are growing...?" he suggested, both hands on his stomach.

William sat down next to Mike on the couch, shaking his head. "It's too soon," he said before one of their children started wailing. Quickly, William looked down at the foot of the couch where he had placed the plastic carriers, and noticed that it was Sarah-Gabrielle who had been whining. He carefully picked her up.

Mike lightly touched William's arm so he'd turn around and let him see their baby. "What do you think is wrong, then?"

William looked over at Mike and shrugged slightly, biting his lip. He watched as the tiny girl continued to wail, her small fists curled up to her chest as she cried. William looked down at her and made soothing sounds. "Aww... Shh," he whispered, holding her close to his chest.

Mike wiped his hands on his jeans before he extended his arms and reached for the child. "Can I try?"

William nodded, carefully handing Sarah-Gabrielle over to the guitarist. He then reached down for Christopher and Joshua, who were on the verge of crying.

Mike put the little girl down against his belly and gently petted her back. "Shh. Don't cry, sweetie."

William held Christopher and Joshua close, each in one arm. He smiled over at Mike, noticing that Sarah-Gabrielle's crying began to quiet down. Her tiny fists were still clenched.

Mike ran his thumb over one of the child's clenched fists. "Daddy can take care of as many babies as there is."

William smiled over at Mike again before turning to Joshua and Christopher. Joshua was whimpering as William reached out only a single finger to massage the boy's stomach - one finger was all it required.

Mike smiled at his boyfriend. "I think they just needed a little parental attention. They'll probably be old enough to talk a little by the time the others are born."

William smiled as Joshua began to calm down, snuggling into the warmth of William's arm. Christopher did the same, making a faint yawning noise.

"They're cute, just like that. In a year or two I bet they'll be running around the house already..." Mike smiled at William's stomach. "You know, that kid of yours will be restless, even as a baby."

William smiled. "They'll all be restless as soon as they get enough sleep," he smiled down at his children. His eyes widened when they curled up into his arms. "Aww!" he whispered.

"I never thought children could be this cute," Mike confided. He had always thought babies only cried and made messes before William had gotten pregnant. His vision of things had changed drastically.

William chuckled quietly as Joshua buried his nose in his chest. "I think we've made some of the cutest babies I've ever seen."

"They've gotten some pretty good genes from their mom, I think." Mike grinned. He gently tickled Sarah-Gabrielle's tiny palm.

William smiled over at their daughter as their sons slept in his arms. "They've gotten the best genes from their daddy," he smiled, watching as the girl squirmed.

Mike grinned, blushing slightly. He wouldn't admit it, but William complimenting him was an incredible boost for his ego. "Mommy is too modest," he whispered.

Sarah-Gabrielle let out a small giggle as she rested on Mike's arm. William moved closer to Mike, realizing how cold it was. He shivered, wanting to be close.

Mike moved his arm around William to include him in the embrace. "You should do as I do and stock up on fat for the winter."
