Double pregnancy means two jars of pickles

Mike almost fell off the couch when he tried to take the ice again. "What's wrong?"

William turned around. "Nothing, but you need to hold still before you hurt yourself," he said, moving onto his knees. He carefully made Mike lay down on the couch.

Mike pouted. "I'm being careful, really." He looked into William's eyes for a sign of what was on his mind.

"I'd say not, considering you have to roll around so ungracefully to move," William smiled only slightly, moving up to Mike's head after he had gently pressed the man back ontot he couch.

Mike frowned. "That was totally graceful, thank you." He shifted slightly. "It's not my fault if you walk like a supermodel, swinging your hips and all."

William smiled, moving a hand to Mike's stomach again. "I think you look beautiful, though," he said honestly.

"You better, because you're stuck with me for a couple of hundreds of years." Mike grinned.

William smiled slightly before gently resting his head on Mike's chest.

Mike petted William's hair, carefully avoiding the bump that had probably turned a darker color by now. "I wonder when we'll start looking significantly older..."

"I'm not sure about Avians, but I won't look any different at all...," he trailed off.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "I'll use a lot of creams and beauty products, then."

William only smiled before he let his eyes close, feeling really tired. "I'll love you no matter what," he yawned during his sentence, snuggling into Mike as he did so.

William's yawn way contagious, and Mike could only close his eyes. "I need to watch on the babies," he mumbled.

William shook his head carefully. "They're right there. I can get to them in just a second if something happens," he yawned again, one hand placed on the crib.

Mike nodded sleepily. "But sometimes newborn babies stop breathing when they sleep..." He clearly struggled to stay awake. "We need to...watch..."

"Shh, just sleep," William murmured soothingly. "You need to rest," he whispered, yawning again.

Mike could only agree, snuggling into William. He didn't have the strenght to answer, completely exhausted, so he finally fell asleep.

William smiled at Mike before closing his eyes as well, his head on the guitarist's chest, and his arm wrapped securely around the man's stomach. He still had one arm reaching for the crib as he fell asleep.

Mike woke up again barely twenty minutes later. He glanced at the crib, and managed to fall asleep again. The same thing happened like a regular cycle for the next few hours.

William noticed each and every time that Mike woke up, and kept his arm around the man's stomach, the other still attached to the crib. He didn't pay any attention to his own stomach, allowing it to be pressed against an uneven edge of the couch.

When Mike slept, he would use any part of William's body as a pillow. When he was finally in a deep slumber, his arms were securely wrapped around the man's upper body, and his face was burried in the crook of his neck, unconsciouly nuzzling the skin as he breathed.

William was bent in a variety of odd directions, not really caring as he slept against Mike's chest.
