We can be lovers

"See it's easy." said Hood lieing back on the bed.

Xcelia frowned, still focusing on feeding John.

"Now try that with enough puppies to have one on each finger of the glove, with out one of them running off." Hood laughed starring up at the ceiling.

Xcelia laughed quietly, "Fun."

John finished the milk and let go of the glove and stared to try and clamber out of Xcelia's lap.

Xcelia picked John up and placed him on the bed gently, "There you go baby woof."

John  bounded across the bed jumping onto Hood's chest. "Ooof. Slow down a bit baby woof."

"Told you he was going to eat us." Xcelia nodded wisely.

"No just drive us insane." He propped himself up on his elbows, "after all what else are puppies for."

Xcelia frowned, "I've never had a puppy."

"Back when I did dog sledging we got a litter two or three times a year." Hood said as John continued to lolop about the bed.

Xcelia frowned, remembering her childhood, "La mere never let dogs in the house."

"Well if we kept them out they had this habit of freezing in the winter." Hood said thinking of all the old guys.

Xcelia stared at the floor, lost in memories.

Hood thought back to childhood and work before, then he stopped. "Any way you can learn all about the joys of puppies now."

Xcelia blinked and looked up, as if she'd just remembered Hood was there.

John was sniffing around the edge of the bed and slipped off hitting the floor loudly. Hood looked round.

Xcelia moved with in-human speed and scooped John off the floor, putting him back on the bed.

"Don't worry, a couple of falls like that won't do him any harm." He considered putting the curious puppy on the floor to run about, but he'd just crawl under something and be a devil to get out.

Xcelia disappeared into the kitchen area. Well, it looked like she had disappeared and then re-appeared, she had infact just moved too fast for anyone to see.

Hood shook his head. "Thats gonna start to give me headaches, and neck ones too from trying to move my head faster."

Xcelia mock-pouted, "But I need to have some fun every now and again."

Hood frowned, "Well maybe next time I can shift when your not expecting it."

"Just as long as you don't do it while were having sex." Xcelia smiled good humouredly and appeared next to Hood suddenly.

"I'm not promising anything." said Hood grinning.
