Keep the things I left behind

Butcher stopped on his second trip around the area because he noticed a figure on the roof. He stayed where he was even though he couldn't make out who it was. If it was Mikey he probably shouldn't go any closer.

Curiosity got the best of him and Butcher moved a little closer just to see if it was really Mikey up there.

It is him. Butcher kept flying around, wondering if he should try a landing. Roofs are hard.

Butcher bit his bottom lip and decided that he was going to attempt a landing so he could apologize to Mikey.

Butcher landed a little close to the edge, cackling at fate because he managed to land mostly on his feet then flailing his arms when he almost tipped over and off the roof.

"Thank you," he moved away from Mikey as soon as he was safely balanced, blushing in embarrassment. That was better than the landing on Mike's roof earlier. "Um hey... I'm sorry." He shuffled nervously.

"Making you uncomfortable? Not coming to help you sooner earlier?" He shrugged. "It won't happen again."

"Friends." Butcher repeated quietly, looking off in the distance. He was finally leaving his old ones behind.

"You're a good teacher." Butcher shrugged off the compliment.

"Just take the credit. It's okay." Butcher grinned. "I guess I'll be going now." It was getting a little awkward.

"Mikey?" Butcher felt his heart stop a moment and jumped into the wind to follow with only a little more control.

Butcher landed on his feet and lost his balance and landed hard on his knees. "Mikey are you okay? Mikey?" He knelt at the other man's side, ignoring the shooting pain of his landing.

Butcher pushed Mikey's hair out of his face. "Are you in pain?"
