Keep the things I left behind

Butcher put Mikey down on the front steps and knocked the door so someone would take him inside before taking off in the direction of the hills.

Butcher stopped and turned around. "What should I do?"

Butcher landed and carefully to avoid falling on his face. He walked over slowly. I know Sisky is going to choose Mike. He won't want me after what I did and Mike won't take me back. Maybe... Maybe if I kill Sisky myself instead of letting anyone else do it... It won't hurt as much.

"Okay then I'm with you," He knelt to lift Mikey back up, his eyes defeated.

"Healing?" Butcher looked skeptical but maybe there had been a reason he had been in good health when he arrived at Mandible house. He put his hand on Mikey's chest and thought about mending the man's flesh, hoping that was the right thing and it would work somehow.

Butcher felt something weird happening like his fingers were falling asleep, "Mikey? Mikey?!"

Butcher ran his hand over Mikey's bare chest in amazement. "Wow." He was too excited to continue crying now.

"Mikey?" Butcher pulled away. "I'm sorry."

"I betrayed you," Butcher looked at him sadly. "You took me into your flock, and I didn't come help you when I should have."

"But I like you. I don't want you to die." Butcher said simply in a childish voice.

Butcher smiled and started acting a bit more like his old self, grabbing Mikey's hand jokingly to kiss as he knelt before him. "I promise my alliegence to you Mikey Russell from now until my death." His grin widened.

Butcher stood, more like bounced back to his feet, "It's the least I can do."

Butcher winced and rubbed his shoulder. "That would be nice."

"It's okay. Mike doesn't understand." He shoved his hands in his pockets. "Soooo what do we do now?"
