Mike dove his hand in his pocket and handed Tom a twenty dollar bill. "The rest is to make sure you look alright for the wedding," he said. It took him several seconds to understand what the man had told him. "Wait...they ate your bassist? Seriously?"

Sisky's eyes widened after she handed over her debit card. Whoa dresses are expensive. Good thing I have enough.

Tom grinned and pocketed the money. He nodded. "They ate Adam when he found out they had wings and baby girl."

Mike swallowed. "How very nice of them. And to think I had just started off with a wrong impression..." He shook his head. "I shouldn't say that. In the end I'm just as bad."

Sisky waited for the dress to be put in a protective bag then took it outside with her.

"To be fair, he was going to tell, and they'd have ended up in prison." Tom stared bleakly at the pavement. "Mikey would never have survived that." He looked up when he heard Sisky. "Can we go to Birdie House now?"

Mike snickered at the mention of 'being fair'. He still owed Mikey. "Mandible House? I don't mind. I hope mister seven-kids-plus-one is doing better."

Mike tugged on Tom's hat and lowered it to his eyes. "Yeah, let's go." He looked at Sisky's dress before starting to walk. "Oh my god, it's not a neon color!" He took her in his arms for a hug, lifting her an inch off the ground in his enthusiasm.

Mike let go of Sisky to snatch the dress from William's arms and take the boy's hand. He followed Matt closely.
