A Moonlit Entrance Hall

"...Hello?"
Cyzarine turned a full 360' as she walked forwards, until she stopped in the middle of the badly-lit entrance hall of Mandible House. Indeed, the main source of light for the place was that of the half-moon Cyzarine had travelled under.
"Hello?" she called again, glancing round warily. Her eyes darted to the twin grand staircases that lead up to either side of a landing above her.
Snorting indignantly, Cyzarine set up the one on her left, glaring round for any sign of life within the house.
"HELLO-O??!" she yelled, smirking at the echo that answered.
"Helloo...Hellooo...Helloooo...?"

Cyzarine's head jerked up a little, as the familiar voice rang up to her. She jumped up and flew back down the stairs, unable to contain her excitement.
"MIKEY!" she squealed as she touched down in front of him. She pouted firmly. "I missed you." she told him, stamping her foot childishly.
Her gaze turned to the other male Mikey had with him. Cyzarine grinned madly at the other man.
"Who's this? He's preetty." she leered.

"Pretty?" Butcher blushed and set his bag down for a few moments to rest his arms. He looked to Mikey wondering who this woman was.

Cyzarine blinked and shook her head. "No...want me to look? I've only been here about two minutes."
Her gaze flickered back to Butcher. "...And are you sure he's your's? I could read his fortune..." she suggested slyly, moving her gaze back to Mikey in a hopeful manner.

Butcher picked his bag back up, his eyes widening. He didn't like this turn of conversation. He liked to think he didn't belong to anybody.

Hearing these last few words, Cyzarine paused to stick her head back round the doorway. She shot a glare at Mikey.
"HEY!" she called indignantly, before turning back and flying away again. "...I'm not that bad." she grumbled quietly, as she scanned the ground for her target.
Her eyes widened suddenly.
"WEEEEEEEE!!" she cried, as she started to dive-bomb towards the ground.
Grace never really was her strong point.

"It's okay," Butcher shouldered his bag. "So you don't have a mate or anything?" He blushed a little, but he was curious how these things worked. He also really wanted someone to join him here, and he wanted to know if it was okay.

The two men whipped round as the twin front doors banged open suddenly. Silhoutted in the doorway was Cyzarine, a wild grin and glinting eyes brightening in the moonlight behind her.
She stomped over to Mikey and held something out wordlessly.
"Here ya go!" she beamed, showing them the slightly ragged-looking man. Cyzarine peered at the man in mock-concern. "I think he's dead." he stated flatly. She brightened suddenly and looked to Mikey, eyes alight again.
"Can I eat him?!" she asked excitedly.

Butcher stared in shock. "Um..."

Cyzarine's eyes widened, suddenly unsure what to do. Glancing to Butcher, she put a hand to Mikey's arm and gazed up into his eyes.
"Bad boy..." she murmured, seeming hypnotised despite the fact it was she that had made eye contact with Mikey, not the other way around.

There was so much he didn't know, he realized. He needed to stick around and find out more about what it meant to be avian. At the moment, he wished he were somewhere else though. Somewhere there wasn't someone possibly being murdered right before his eyes.

Rolling her eyes, Cyzarine did as she was told and gathered up the body, crooning down at it slightly.
She shot one final glance at Butcher, before running forwards a few paces and almost floating into the air, flying along, Robert's body held bridal-style, his pin feathers clutched in one hand.
She glanced back at Mikey as she reached the door way.
"Can I...?"

"We're in danger?" Butcher asked like it was a new concept. He had forgotten the people who had tried to kill him when they found out what he was, the ones who had run him out of his old home.

Cyzarine snorted at Mikey's words, apparently not having taken his hint and left.
"Try telling that to Carden." she called, before flying out before she met a similar fate to Robert's.

"Carden," Butcher's eyes darkened. He remembered the promise he'd made to his friend, or perhaps former friend, just hours earlier.

"Be thankful he thinks you two are sane." Cyzarine added dryly, flying back into the room again. She caught Mikey's glance and grinned.
"All done!" she beamed.

"He promised me something if I joined him," Butcher smiled. "He let me in his house, but he didn't tell me everything. He didn't tell me about this place or the powers." Doubt was creeping in.
