Sisky smiled to herself as everything clicked in her head. She knew exactly what she needed and tried to find an old towel.

"I'm all yours. I'd do anything to gain your trust. You're immortal - what says you won't grow bored with me after a while? What says you won't find someone better?" Mike shook his head. "What you don't get is that you're the one with all the power in this situation. I'd never leave you, but I'm constantly scared I'll hurt you. I'm scared of losing you. I'm the one who has to worry."

"You don't have to worry about anything," he whispered, staggering to his feet. "I'm meant for hurting," he added before starting to walk up the stairs, wiping away tears as quickly as he could.

Sisky found what she was looking for and returned to the kitchen. She sat down and tried to think of the way to gently break it to the guys that she wanted to purchase a litter box.

Mike reached William before he could go too far. He pulled him backwards, catching him in his arms when he lost his balance. "You're not. You mean everything to me, please understand that. I want to see you smile again, like you did when I asked you to marry me. I want to see you happy more than anything. Tell me what I have to do." He leaned his forehead on his boyfriend's shoulder.

William tried to regain his balance but couldn't. He trusted Mike enouhg not to let him fall down completely. He was still trembling. "I don't know," he whispered. "I don't know..." More silent tears.

Maybe a litter box is pushing it. I don't want my baby to think it's completely a kitty, but how will it use the bathroom when it doesn't have a diaper on? I need one. Sisky made a determined face.

Mike kept holding William steadily. "I love you so much. Take all the time you need and just tell me. I'll do whatever you ask."

William shook his head. "This hurts worse than anything else I've ever been through," he whispered, remebering all that he had been through. "And it only hurts because I love you," he hoped that Mike's strength wouldn't give out.

Sisky turned into a cat and curled up on top of the worn towels folded on the table to lay down before Mike and William came back.

Mike stepped back, allowing William's feet to touch the ground. "Tell me what will make it stop hurting."

William didn't turn around to look at Mike. Or rather, he couldn't. "Nothing," he barely even whispered. "You can't take back time; I just have to live with the present."

Sisky meowed. Inside she was giggling at the knowledge that the sound came from her.

"I know we can't go back. We can only make the next months - heck, the next years the best they can be." Mike kissed the back of William's head tenderly. "I'll do it for you."

"There's nothing you can do that will make me stop blaming myself," he whispered before moving another step up. He moved slowly because he knew he was going to lose his balance. He hissed and grabbed onto the railing to keep himself standing.

Sisky swattted at the corner of the towel she was lying on with her paws.

"Same to you," Mike whispered, watching so William didn't fall.

William turned around to look Mike in the eyes. His expression was of confusion.

Sisky turned slightly, forgetting why she had the towels in the first place as she swatted clawed the top one.

"I'll always blame myself for what I did...for what I'm doing to you." He gently pushed William forward so he'd keep walking.

"What you're doing?" he barely eve reached a whisper, standing still except for his slight trembling.

Sisky meowed loudly and chased one of the towels off of the table, jumping down when it slid onto the floor to swat at it some more.

William silently leaned forward, wrapping his arms around the guitarist. "I-I just want you to prove for once that I'm not completely worthless and that you actually want me and what you want me as," he chocked out in an almost inaudible volume.

Sisky meowed again and it sounded like a kitty roar as she played with the towel.
