Shopping in a Glaring World

Demyx frowned as he saw a assistant moved towards him.
"Can I help you?" Demyx asked calmly.

Cyzarine finished paying and looked round for Demyx. She moved towards him quickly.

The shop assitant frowned. "Like hair gel do you?"
Demyx blinked. "I don't know what your talking about."

Cyzarine blinked in surprise. "Huh?" she asked the assistant. "Demyx hasn't done anything wrong!"

The shop assistant raised an eyebrow. "Then he wont mind if I check him. I believe he's a shoplifter."

Cyzarine blinked. "What? You're kidding."

Demyx shrugged. "Go ahead, check me." He held his arms out, a smile on his face.

Cyzarine smiled as well, rocking Rose a little as the little girl whined quietly. "Shhh..." she shot a weak glare at the assistant.

The assistant sighed and patted Demyx down, finding several objects but none of them from that store. He frowned. "Alright, I'll let you go this time."
Demyx smiled. "Why thank you."

Cyzarine frowned at the assistant and smiled at Demyx. "C'mon let's just go."

Demyx nodded and walked out, as soon as he was outside he burst into hysterical laughter.

Cyzarine frowned. "What's funny?" she asked, really not understanding.

Demyx laughed and threw his hood forwards- the one place the assistant hadnt checked- revealing a pot of hair gel.

Cyzarine stared at him in shock. "You stole it?! Why?! - We have enough money for it!"

Demyx laughed. "Who pays for hair gel?"

Cyzarine frowned but decided now wasn't the time to argue over it. "Hmmm...okay. C'mon, I want to see if we can find a crib or something for her." She smiled down at Rose again, acting as if nothing had happened. Just do what you're good at, Cyzarine: pretend nothings wrong.

Demyx paused. "You don't mind do you?"

Cyzarine pulled a face. "I'll live." she told him. "But could you not do that again today?" she giggled. "You'll set a bad example for Rose." she teased.

Demyx shuffled. "I dont pay for hair gel...." He looked like a small child that had been scolded.

Cyzarine sighed. "Demyx, it's fine. Well, not really but I don't want to fight with you again." she paused. "At least it was only hair gel, right?"

Demyx bit his lip. "Well..."

Cyzarine frowned. "You stole something else?"

Demyx nodded and reached into his hood, removing a hair brush. "You said you needed a new one..."

Cyzarine bit her lip. "Demyx, I..." she shook her head, smiling sadly. "I'm flattered you'd do that for me but we can afford a hair brush and gel. Is there anything else? I promise I won't get mad."

Demyx shook his head. "No more." He sighed. "But Cyzie please understand, I was in a gang- stealing is what i was taught to do to survive!"
