Making good on a promise

Butcher stiffened and followed, grabbing a towel for Mikey. "Are you okay?"

"It's okay," Butcher rubbed Mikey's back soothingly.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it." Butcher almost felt like his bad experiences were an advantage now. If he hadn't ever been raped he wouldn't have a basis to understand some of what Mikey had gone through.

Butcher wrapped a towel around Mikey's waist and used another to dry his lover's hair. He smiled and kissed the shorter Avian on the forehead.

"Are you cold?" Butcher tried to make sure Mikey was fully dry even though he knew the other man was perfectly capable of taking care of himself.

"Are you tired?" Butcher didn't seem to notice the fact that he was soaking wet and still wearing his pants.

"I'll be fine," Butcher allowed Mikey to undo his belt, watching curiously. "You need..." Just don't touch me too much. I should probably do this myself.

Butcher wrapped an arm around Mikey. At least we're not as awkward anymore.

"Sorry," Butcher said sheepishly.

"You should get dressed," Butcher looked down at his partially undone pants. "I'll be fine."

Butcher slipped his pants off and folded them up, wrapping a towel around his waste and following with the soaked denim.

Butcher went to pull something clean to wear out of his things, looking over his shoulder to make sure Mikey was okay.

Butcher dropped his towel and pulled on a pair of boxer briefs and some pants, moving back over to Mikey quickly. "Let me?"
