"Should we try going there?" William asked. Mike was technically an Avian now, they should be okay to enter. He bit his lip in thought.

Mike nodded. "Yeah." He smiled. "Maybe I could try out my wings, too. Do you want to?"

William smiled and nodded. "Just don't fly like Butcher," he laughed. He walked towards the door, reaching for Mike's hand as he did so.

"I'll try not to." Mike closed the door behind them and locked it before spreading his wings. He hoped the weirdly-shaped one wouldn't prevent him from fly correctly. "Put your arms around my neck."

William bit his lip. He did as he was told, and carefully placed his arms around the guitarist's neck, a little afraid of flying like this. He layed his head on Mike's collar bone and gave a nervous smile. "Ready when you are."

Mike wrapped his arms around William and kissed to top of his head. "It's gonna be alright, don't worry. I can't be that bad." He bended his knees and opened his wings as much as he could before dashing upwards.

William closed his eyes tight as they lifted off the ground, holding on to Mike tightly. He had a fear of heights, so he kept his eyes shut, too afraid to look down.

"Don't worry," Mike whispered. He enjoyed the sensation of flying, but was too busy making sure William was alright to appreciate the experience. There wasn't much wind, and his flying was pretty decent.

When William realized how well Mike was flying, he slowly opened his eyes, at first only looking into Mike's eyes, until he built up enough courage to look down. He was panicked when he looked down, until he realized that Mike was holding him safely. A smile slowly marked his lips as he began enjoying the expirience.

"So...it's not too bad, right?" Mike asked, smiling. His twisted wing forced him to lean on that side a litte, but it didn't made any major difference. "We should be there in no time."

William smiled. "You're really good at this," he said, looking all around them. He leaned up and kissed the guitarist softly, before looking down again.

Mike grinned proudly. "I know." He saw the Mandible House not too far away.
