Butcher's eyes started to close and he started slumping against William unconsciously.

Mike smirked at Tom, showing off his fangs. He poked Butcher's cheek.

"And we wondered why we were sent to Chicago." Tom gave Michael a glare. "I don't mind. I have Bill to protect me. Speaking of whom... anyone got a blender?"

"Huh? What?" Butcher snapped away. His wings shot out of his back, one of them hitting Mike since he was behind the couch.

"Ouch!" Mike exclaimed, grasping the man's wing. "Careful." He looked at Tom. "A blender? You want to offer them smoothies before killing them?"

Tom snorted. "I wouldn't expect you to understand." He looked at Michael. "You know? Whizzy thing? That Bill can't use properly?"

Michael covered his face with his hands for a moment, throwing up in his mouth a little.

"It...does," Mike said slowly, trying to figure out what Tom had in mind. "Why a goddamn blender?" He frowned slightly. "And, uh, please...stay away from Avians, alright?"

Michael looked up, ready to catch Tom if necessary. He hoped Avians woudn't be deemed a problem. He was the only human in the band.

William gave the boy an odd look. He looked around from person to person, trying to understand what was happening.

William's bod stiffened when he sensed something. His eyes widened slightly as he reached for Mike's sleave, tugging it lightly. He looked worried.

William looked at the boy before standing up slowly and walking towards the door. Gulping slightly, his fears were standing right outside of the house. He carefully stepped out.

Mike followed. "Willia..." He clutched the back of the boy's shirt and pulled him backwards when he saw who their unexpected guest was. "Fuck."

Tom sank behind the chair. The Kaulitzes had been taught never to make a noise, never to make a fuss. He closed his eyes and slumped.
