Slipping away..

Ryland raised an eyebrow at Aliceabella's facial expression, "Invalids do not pick fights they cannot win." Ryland thought for a moment. "Erickson, do you know if any more test subjects are required for our experiments?"

Wren blinked and then supressed a grin. "I believe another subject is needed, my lord. I'm not sure which experiment, though."

Aliceabella pouted. "If your talking about me, I'm not an invalid- if you talking about her." She glanced at Wren. "Then I agree." She didn't ask about the experiments."

Ryland nodded and continued walking, wondering if Mikey's lover had returned home already.

Wren shot another glare at Aliceabella, before turning to Ryland. "Where to now, my lord?" she asked calmly.

Aliceabella sighed at Wren and closed her eyes, content where she was- just wishing the pain would go away.

"Mandible House," Ryland said simply.

Wren nodded. "Do you want me to acompany you?"

Aliceabella furrowed her eyebrows. I don't want her to come... She hissed mentally.

"If you have never been it might benefit you to see it," Ryland raised his eyebrows.

Wren nodded. "Then I think I'll come."

Aliceabella scowled and humphed haughtily, wincing as pain shot through her ribs.

Ryland nodded to show he had heard and continued in the direction of the avian sanctuary.

Ryland ran through the park, headed wherever his feet would take him away from the Meagan. The girl confused him and he needed to get away from her for awhile to immerse himself in something he knew.
