Slipping away..

Aliceabella let out a weak sob under the water, feeling her body beginning to weaken.

Wren hesitated, holding the baby and fighting back memories of her own family back when she had lived. She glanced at Ryland, wondering exactly how much she had missed.

Ryland stopped when he saw that Wren was holding Damian's baby and stared at her. "Confirming a rumor."

Damian smirked. "Enthralling." He pulled Aliceabella's head out of the water and allowed his fingernails to grow into claws, digging them into her skull.

Aliceabella let out a loud whimper, determind not to scream.

Wren Looked down at the baby before looking back at Ryland. She tried to shrug without dropping the baby but she really did doubt he'd seen her do so.

"Wren, come here." Ryland ordered.

Damian smirked. "I only asked her to hold the child so I could have my hands free." He used his other hand to grab Aliceabella's wrist and put so much pressure on it that it broke.

Aliceabella dropped her head and screamed, closing her eyes as tears spilled down her face.

Wren went to Ryland obediently, unsure of what was hapening. "My lord?" she murmured, not allowing herself to merely whisper.

"You do not obey orders outside of the clan. Inside the Meagan is a different story." Ryland looked at the baby, with slight distaste. He hated babies. "Take the child back to the nursery. He's been given to the clan to raise."

Damian frowned and incearesed the pressure on Aliceabella's skull. "And who might of given those idiotic orders?" He glanced back at Aliceabella. "As if I don't know." He hissed, letting go of her wrist only to punch her in the side.

Aliceabella screamed loudly as she felt one of her ribs slide out of place. Pain shot through her and she sobbed, dropping her head again.

Wren nodded and started towards the Meagan, glaring down at the child. Muttering darkly in latin her mother had made her learn, she started off towards her 'home'.

Ryland turned to watch Wren go.

Damian felt anger flare within him and let go of Aliceabella, shoving her into the stream. He went to move after Wren. "That's my child." He hissed at Ryland. "Not that..prostitue's- she had no right to tell you what to do with it." He pointed at Aliceabella as he said the word prostitute.

Aliceabella could barely hear, the pain was like a posion- seeping through her entire body- consuming her.

Wren paused and turned back, looking to Ryland before deciding to continue back to the Meagan. She stopped the latin, though.

Ryland moved to catch up with Wren.

Damian let out a snarl and moved faster, reaching Wren and stopping her in her tracks.

Aliceabella let out a weak whimper, wanting to be held.

Wren blinked at Damian before looking to Ryland again. There's not a lot I can do with a baby in my arms...

Ryland shielded Wren. "If you want the child, trade for it. He's already been claimed by clan blood."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "Two questions. One, who claimed him?And two- what could I possibly trade for him?"

Aliceabella pushed herself up weakly and crawled onto the bank, biting her lip to stop herself from screaming.
