Nick pulled a face. "I would offer myself, but I taste of ashes. So, I guess Mikey."

"Oh. So my babies will have to feed off me," Mike whispered to himself. He shuddered. "Good, good."

"I don't think they can. Unless you get pregnant you won't have the nutrients to need them with." Butcher looked to Nick to make sure then frowned. "Would William have the nutrients? He's a vampire."

"This is my personal theory, but I think that there are originally two shells on an egg, and one disintegrates into the blood stream, cause Mikey used the egg of the Ryland's baby to create the shots, didn't he?" Nick cocked his head.

"Wait, what, shots?" Mike stepped back. "Okay, look, nevermind. Don't bother to explain and just feed the kid."

"The shots were so Mikey would have the nutrients in his blood needed for Rattle Master here to feed. We have to go to him to feed, Nils," Butcher shrugged. "But isn't it nice to know that Mike Jr. won't starve?"

Nick cackled again, doubling over. "He should be back by now..." He mumbled to himself.

"Can you take me to Mikey?" Butcher asked Mike, smiling sheepishly. "I don't know where he is."

"Yeah, sure. He's upstairs." Mike walked out of the room with the faint sensation that something was missing.

William looked down at the girl, his eyes still sad. "I don't know. But I'll try my best to take care of them."

Mike spotted his boyfriend pretty easily. His presence made the shade flee upstairs. "William?"

William went back to the position he was in earlier, his head in his hands. "Hey," he said nearly silently.

Mike kneeled down next to William. Without a warning, he cupped the boy's cheeks and kissed him.

William was surprised to say the least, but leaned back slightly so that the kiss was more comfortable.

Mike moved his fingers and pressed them against William's scalp, almost climbing in the boy's lap as he kissed him.

William moved his hips slightly so that Mike could fit better against his stomach. He leaned his neck back and moaned quietly.

Mike moved back slightly, lowering a hand to William's spine. He kissed the corner of his mouth, and then his neck.

William inhaled a short, hissing breath, arching his neck as Mike touched him. He didn't know why Mike had suddenly kissed him.

Mike stretched the collar of William's shirt, pressing his lips to the exposed skin. "Love you," he whispered between kisses.

William leaned so that his back was now touching the stairs. It was uncomfortable, but he couldn't deny Mike. He smiled. "Love you too."
