Mikey came to quietly, looking around the room sleepily.

Butcher slept with one arm thrown over his face and the other dangling off the side of the bed.

Mikey's harsh face softened. He rolled onto his side to watch the other man. He looked so peaceful when he slept.

"Mmm," Butcher turned in his sleep, tilting precatiously at the edge of the bed. His legs were spread widely and he looked uncomfortable but somehow he was content sleeping in his position.

The auburn haired man stifled a laugh, ready to catch him if he fell.

"My sandwich..." Butcher muttered and moved one of his arms, putting himself off balance and falling off the bed.

Mikey squeaked and dived for the older man, but he was too late. The two men both landed on the floor.

Butcher slept through the fall and reflexively cuddled Mikey.

Mikey laughed again, draping a wing over Butcher to keep him warm.

Butcher smiled in his sleep and nuzzled into Mikey. "Love you..."

Mikey's laughing was cut off abrubtly. He moved his wing gently across Butcher's back several times, his face sobering.

Butcher stirred at the feeling of Mikey's wings on his back and opened his eyes. "Good morning?"

"Good morning." Mikey replied, giving him a strange smile. "Comfortable?"

Butcher looked around, noticing he had his arms around Mikey and they were both on the floor. "Um... yeah."

"It's something I picked up," Butcher shrugged. He didn't want to let go any sooner than he had to.

"Really? I guess I picked up the opposite." Mikey continued stroking Butcher's back gently with his wing.

"I don't know. It tells me things about you." Mikey leant his head back on the floor, watching their feathers entangle.

"Like what?" Butcher kept his face carefully blank, or somewhat blank at least.
