Mikey swore as one of Chase's forming fangs pierced through the gum and his thumb. "Sorry Chase..."

Chase clamped his mouth closed and sniffled, not liking the feeling at all.

"Sssh." Mikey held Chase close to his chest, enveloping the two of them in his wings. "And it begins."

Chase snuggled into Mikey and whimpered quietly.

"Be a nice big brother and don't poke Chase's gums," Butcher petted Nils' hair.

"Ickle Burdee bowder?" Nils stared at Butcher wide eyed.

"Do they have stuff for babies who are growing teeth?" Mikey wanted to know. "Normal babies?"

"Mhm," Butcher answered both of them with a nod. "Ickle Burdee bowder," he kissed Nils' forehead before answering Mikey. "They have teething toys in baby stores. I'm sure they'd be pretty easy to find or ask about."

Mikey nodded and stood up, drawing his wings. "Shall I take Nilsy too? He can walk." He bit his lip and began to work Chase's wings back into his body.

Chase giggled and twitched his wings.

"It will be fun," Butcher held Nils out. "Addy and I will hold the homefront."

"Chase...!" Mikey sighed as he finished with his youngest son's wings. "Now Nils."

Nils looked at his daddy in confusion as he felt his wings being messed with.

Butcher smiled softly at them then sat bold upright when he felt his pocket vibrate. "Whoa." He pulled out his phone. "Hello?"

Mikey looked aorund for shoes. "You grow so fast Nilsy." He lifted the boy onto the bed so he could put them on.

Nils blew a raspberry and kicked his legs excitedly.

"That's kind of ironic, Chiz," Butcher commented after he listened. "Mikey's going out to buy something. He could help you and Tom..." He looked up questioningly.

Mikey nodded, running through his mental map of the city. "I can be there in five, which room are they in? What's outside the window?"

Mikey picked up Nils again, beginning to walk out the door. He sighed and turned around. "Gonna be quicker to fly."

"Nice description," Butcher sighed. "Please stick to playing guitar in the future." He held the phone away from his mouth and smiled at Mikey. "Be safe. I'll try to prevent mass chaos until you return."

Mikey looked down at Chase and Nils. "I'll come back for them. It'll be quicker if I fly Michael and Tom here." he put the boys down. "Be good for Reve now, all of you. Do you hear me Andrew?" With an impish smile, he dove out the window.

"Okay," Butcher took a look around the room at their children. "We're all going to be nice for Papa, aren't we?"

"BAD!" Reve squealed.

Mikey cackled and swooped away, wind streaming through his thick hair.

"No." Nils said sternly, "Badeve."

Reve blinked at Nils in confusion at being rebuked.

Nils nuzzled into Butcher's hand contentedly, nibbling Chase's ear. "Ickleburdeebowder." He mumbled.

Chase made a bleating sound which made Butcher look down at him quickly. "Gums hurt, little man?"
