Mikey pouted and cuddled Chase close to his chest. "Mine!"

Chase snuggled into Mikey, mostly unaware of what was happening.

"Uh oh, Nils. Looks like you lost your burdee," Butcher chuckled.

Nils screamed wordlessly in anger, hitting Butcher with his little firsts.

Mikey winced, balancing Chase in one arm to try and cover his ears.

"Ow don't attack Papa," Butcher held Nils out so he could see Chase.

Mikey cringed in pain, relaxing when Nils stopped screaming.

"Ickle burdee." The toddler hiccuped.

Chase smiled and grabbed a handful of Mikey's hair, staring at it.

"He really is used to you," Butcher chuckled at how Nils' tantrum hadn't upset Chase at all.

Mikey widened his eyes at his son. "You think I should grow it again?" He asked Butcher, keeping his eyes on the baby.

"I like it either way," Butcher smiled.

Chase looked at Nils and realized the color was the same as Nils' hair with a happy squeal.

Mikey frowned, reaching up to touch the spiky ends. "I can't decide."

Nils grunted and nuzzled into Butcher.

"Moody," Butcher cuddled Nils. "Do you want it back?"

"I don't know..." Mikey mused. "I liked it long, but it did get in the way, and brushing it was a right pain."

Nils sniffled and hiccuped.

Chase put Mikey's hair in his mouth and whined because he found he didn't like it.

"It's okay, Nils," Butcher rubbed his back.

Mikey giggled and removed it from his son's mouth. Sometimes he acted far younger than his age; more his mental one.

Butcher watched and smiled softly.

"He's going to need something to bite when he starts teething," Butcher thought aloud.
