Reve patted Mikey's nose with a smile. "BAD!"

"She's always like that even when the other ones are mean to her," Butcher scratched the back of his neck.

Reve reached to poke Mikey's eyebrow excitedly.

Chase watched and widened his eyes, reaching to grab Nils' wing in wonder.

Adelaide shrank back a little and snuggled into Mikey. Reve giggled and beamed brightly.

"Yes, Nils?" Butcher looked up.

Adelaide looked at Mikey with wide eyes as Reve poked her.

Butcher smiled. "Yes. You're very strong, Nils. You can use your wings."

Adelaide chuckled at Reve when she figured out the other girl didn't mean any harm. Reve poked Mikey questioningly.

"Strong?" Butcher repeated, wondering if that's what Nils was trying to say.

Adelaide clucked a scolding at Reve for poking their daddy.

Chase squeaked and tried to fold his wings in.

"Be careful, Nils. Chase is smaller than you." Butcher watched.

Reve blinked and stopped poking Mikey to poke Adelaide again.

"Hey be gentle," Butcher carefully shifted Zeke and Chester so he could take Chase's wing from Nils' hand.

Adelaide blinked at Reve before clucking another scolding.

Chase was too scared to scream. His eyes filled with tears.

"Uh oh." Butcher put Zeke and Chester down on the bed and put his hand on Chase's wing to fix it.

Reve stopped poking then poked her own face with a giggle, almost poking herself in the eye. Adelaide smiled at Mikey.

Butcher decided to mend the break first before handling anything else. He worried about the strenght of Chase's bones.

"Nils come back over here!" Butcher watched but he didn't want to move Chase before he was done.

"You don't feel happy about hurting Chase do you?" Butcher picked up the smallest little boy and cuddled him.

Chase hiccuped and there was a creaking in the room as metal objects shifted.

"Shh calm down, Chase." Butcher petted his hair. "You're not a bad burdee. Come back, Nilsy."
