Chase smiled at Mikey and gurgled, grabbing little fistfuls of Tamsin's fur.

"Paaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Reve shrieked, making Butcher wince. "Noisy one."

Tamsin yelped, licking Chase again.

Mikey nodded his agreement, rubbing an ear. "And I have better hearing than you."

Chase giggled and tried to lick Tamsin.

"If I pick her up I'll grow a baby-shaped tumor on my arm," Butcher hoped she wasn't screaming for him.

Mikey was about to reply when he saw what Chase was doing. "No, honey, don't lick the puppy."

Chase managed to lick Tamsin's wet nose and made a face.

Mikey shook his head as Tamsin turned back to a baby with a sniffling pop.

Tamsin flailed, giggling. "Chase, don't." Mikey said in a warning tone.

Nils nodded seriously. "Cooteeze!"

Chase looked up at Mikey and raised his arms towards his daddy's face.

Butcher hid a smile by reaching to pet Adelaide's hair as she sat and watched everything quietly.

Butcher meant to say that Chase reminded him a bit of a mini-Nils but it didn't come out quite right. He looked at Josie and wondered if he should chance trying to show her some affection.

Reve looked shocked for a moment then giggled, giving Josie a big hug. Butcher just shook his head. "I don't get it."
