Lonely

"Don't get up," Ryland flagged another vampire in the hallway and quietly made his request so Aliceabella wouldn't hear.

Aliceabella shrugged and snuggled into the warm bed, lying on her side so she would be able to see when Ryland came back.

"Just give me a generic size and we can have something tailored later," Ryland's voice rose to a volume Aliceabella would be able to hear since she was allowed to hear this part of the conversation.

Aliceabella smiled slightly and moved to rest her head on her arm.

Ryland nodded and reentered the room. "Something will be coming for you soon."

Aliceabella smiled and sat up, holding the quilt around herself for decenty's sake. "What is it?" She wasn't good with surprises- that came with a short attention span.

"You're getting new clothes, and possibly gloves to prevent you from burning anything in the meantime." Ryland looked at her.

Aliceabella smiled. "You didn't have to do that." She tugged the quilt up slightly, modesty getting the better of her.

Ryland closed the door and walked over to his closet, removing his robe and tossing it to her.

"Thank you," Aliceabella slipped the robe on and stood up, giggling when she saw how ridiculously big it was on her.

Ryland sat to wait for the clothes to arrive.

Aliceabella turned to make the bed, frowning at her still calming nails.

Ryland watched her with interest.

Aliceabella plonked herself down on the bed and smiled at Ryland, rolling up the sleeves of the robe so she could see her hands.

Ryland stood back up when he heard footsteps and answered the door. "Perfect." He took the clothes for Aliceabella and handed her a pair of gloves that would prevent her from accidently burning things or people as well. "Get dressed." He left the room to make further arrangements for her stay at the Meagan.

Aliceabella watched him go before standing to get dressed, humming softly to herself.

Ryland arranged for Aliceabella to have her own room at the front desk and asked for a tailor to go up and measure her for new flame retardant clothes. He put on his coat and left the Meagan with his hands in the pockets.

Aliceabella finished dressing and began to get her stuff together. She looked round the room, smiling softly.

Hearing a knock at the door Aliceabella opened it, blinking in surprise as a tailor stepped into the room. "Ur..."

The tailor took her measurments and then moved over to the chair to sort out the fabric. Aliceabella shifted arkwardly, not used to this sort of thing.

Aliceabella pulled on her new gloves, smiling down at her hands. The tailor finished his work and handed her the new clothes with a nod.
"Thank you." She smiled as the tailor left.

Aliceabella put her new clothes in her bag then headed for reception to ask about her room.

Upon being told her room wasn't ready yet, Aliceabella left her bag in reception and headed out to kill some time.
