Butcher opened his eyes back up and stared at Mike for a moment, temporarilly losing some of his nauseously nervous feeling. What?

The shade winced. That poor, poor kid. "I never got that far..." He laughed quietly.

A look of total and utter confusion was on Matt's face. The baby's in there? he pointed to William's stomach. His brow furrowed. Did you eat it?

Yes, Matt. I eat babies now. William started laughing again. He bit his lip and grinned. "Can someone help me explain? I think I'm just confusing him more," William said, patting Matt on the shoulder.

Butcher blinked in confusion, Matt seemed a little old not to know where babies came from.

Nick pointedly covered Angel's ears. "Papa!" She exclaimed, pouting.

Matt flushed and covered his face. No need to laugh at me. He felt his calm mood slowly dissipate and he shook.

William stopped laughing and smiled gently at Matt. "No need to feel bad. I'm the one we should be laughing at. I don't even know how to explain it," he smiled, moving his hand so that he could move another stray piece of hair out of Matt's face.

Mikey tried the door handle, Nils still waving the rattle around. He sighed. It was locked. Should have remembered that. The baby hit the door with his rattle, giggling.

"It's okay... Matt right? Mikey didn't know about stuff like that either," Butcher blushed and looked at Nick, wondering how exactly the shade had described sex to his lover.

"Oh boy did he not know." Nick muttered, as Angel escaped. "I don't think I ever actually told him what it was."
Angel fluttered over to sit by William's head. "Baby not go pop yet?" She asked.

Matt's face was warm where William had touched it. He put a finger to it gently, eyes slightly wider.

William smiled at Matt before facing Angel. "Not yet," he said with another smile, loving how cute the girl was being.

Mikey cleared his throat. "Hello?" He called weakly.

When Mike had finished laughing silently, he volunteered. "Can I explain? Yes...?" He was caught in mid-sentence by Mikey's arrival.

Butcher turned towards his lover's voice. "Mikey?"

"Apparently so." Nick rubbed his eyes. "I'm not going. I want to hear this conversation."
"Tummy go pop." Angel giggled. "Baby egg."

Matt gave up. He leant his head on his knees.

William smiled at Angel. "Really?" he asked, just wanting to hear her reaction. He then noticed Matt. He reached his hand out to touch his shoulder gently. Hey, are you okay?

"William can't have an egg...right?" Mike asked himself out loud.

"Looks like we're stuck out here for the night, kiddo." Mikey told Nils, sitting underneath one of the stone lions. The window to their room was shut.

Maybe I didn't hear anything? Butcher scratched his head, thinking that he'd just heard Mikey's voice since he was listening so hard for it. "Be right back," he got up to check their room just in case, running to throw open the window.

"Uhh..." Nick pulled a face. "Mikey had an egg with Ryland, but I don't know if it works the other way around."
Angel nodded, her pretty face split in a smile. "Niiii-iiilllss." She told William, giving the name two syllables.

Matt rubbed his face against William's hand sadly. Not really.

William smiled up at Angel and then looked over at Nick. "Is there any way of finding out?" he asked. He then looked back down at Matt . He put his hand onto the vampire's chin and moved his head so that they were looking one another in the eyes. What wrong? His features were soft and calming so as not to scare Matt.
