Getting our asses kicked for a good cause

"Too late for that," Ryland grinned bending to bite Mikey's shoulder.

Ryland fell off the bed and onto his back, laying there for a few moments before pulling up his pants and grabbing his knife.

Butcher almost forgot which window it was on the way back but when he looked through he knew he was at the right place. He squeezed the rock in his hand and whispered, "Mikey?"

"Lower your knees," Ryland ordered gruffly, adjusting his grip on the knife handle.

Butcher backed up a bit and slammed the rock through the window over and over to make a big enough opening to pull himself inside, cutting himself on the shattered glass. He saw Ryland on the bed with Mikey. He saw the blood. "Get the fuck away from him, you bastard!"

Ryland watched the new arrival out of the corner of his eye and forced Mikey's legs the rest of the way down, mangaging to stab the man in the stomach before he was tackled by Mikey's furious lover.

Butcher wrapped his legs around Ryland and started punching him blindly, tears stinging his eyes.

"Fuck," Ryland got over the shock and fought back, pushing the angry Avian off balance by surprising the man. He could vaguely feel Mikey's presence and realized that he had accidently wrapped his mind around the other man's the last time he raped him.

Butcher turned to look at Mikey for a moment and realized his mistake as he found himself crashing into the wall.

"You know what day it is right?" Ryland kicked Andy in the stomach to keep the avian down. "Where were we?" He picked his knife back up and pinned Mikey down.

Ryland cut into Mikey, not sure how deep he would need and started to dig his fingers under the flesh, feeling for the developing egg so he could remove it.

Butcher turned over slowly and used his arms to pull himself up. What's wrong with me today?

Butcher couldn't move fast enough to save his lover. He could see Ryland pulling something out of Mikey as he ran to tackle the other man to the ground. I can heal the wounds, but I can't take away the pain.

Ryland held the knife out in the Butcher's direction so the avian was forced to change direction at the last minute and trip over the bed. He took the premature egg into his bloody hands and quickly backed up to the door out of the room. "You're free to go now, Birdie. This is an excellent prize. I leave you with the truth. You know what choice you are, Russell." The vampire opened the door and slipped out in one fluid movement.

As much as Butcher wanted to kill Ryland for what he did, saving Mikey took first priority. He picked himself up off the ground and wrapped his arms around his lover, lifting him and looking around for something to wrap the Avian in as he closed the skin on the abortion wound. "Mikey? Whatever Ryland told you about me, it's not true. I love you, and I've been trying to get to you since I found out you were gone. The baby at home is fine."
