Hurry

Darren smiled "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." He reached out to cuff Micheals hand, then froze.

Michael scratched his head. He either had to make an exit where there was one or push past and run for it now. He was pretty sure that hospital windows were strong so he decided to go with the latter. "Sorry."

Darren gasped and his knees buckled. "Fuck!" He said loudly collapsing forward breath wheezing out his lungs as his body went in to shock.

Michael convinced himself he didn't need to help since they were in a hospital as he ran for the door. He'd try to come back if he could but he couldn't let himself get caught if he could help it.

As Michael moved away Darren bagan to recover. For once he hadn't seen that coming their had been so much....so much future, no one of his age should have that much to come. It was too late to run after him. Luckily he didn't need to he knew exactly where he was going to go.

Michael ran for his rental car and pulled out his keys, quickly unlocking the door and getting in to start the engine.

Darren staggered to his feet leaning agaist the wall he closed his eyes trying hard to pick out the futures he needed with out collapsing again. He never lost a suspect once he'd touched them.

Darren watched as he drove a car following and recording each turn. "Gotcha." He smiled again

What if Sisky's not home? Michael panicked a little as he drove, pulling his phone out with one hand.

Darren took a couple of deep breaths and stood up straight. He glanced in to the hospital room. "I'll be back to get your statments later." He looked around. "Remind me which way is the exit?"

Michael dialed at a stoplight and held the phone up to his ear. Usually he hated when people did this since it was dangerous but under the circumstances it was necessary.

"Thank you." Darren nodded and headed out pulling his keys from his pocket and jogging down the stairs.

Pick up. Pick up. Michael looked down for a second to make sure he had dialed right.

Darren sat in the car and started the engin. He considered turning n the siren but desided against warning Chislett he was comeing.

"Hey Sisky. I know what you're probably thinking but let me try to explain. Where are you? I'm in a hurry. I think I'm going to be followed," Michael said hurridly into the phone as he distractedly cut someone off and was flicked off by the driver.

Darren heard a horn blow in the distance and thanked god he wasn't all that far behind if Chislett had only just cut off that driver. He carried on stopping at the lights and keeping to the speed limit. Rushing would be no extra help.

Michael let out a breath and turned at the next light, not really sure where he could go. "Do you know anywhere I can hide?" Even if they figured they couldn't prove he had done anything wrong they had him for resisting arrest.

Darren almost didn't recognise the turn and had to sweep in front of an angry driver to avoid missing it.

Michael's knuckles went white gripping the steering wheel as he listened to Sisky talk to Tom on the other end of the line. The voice was so faint he'd barely heard it, but he had and it made his heart flip over as he drove.
