Pulling weeds from the garden

Wren didn't even smirk as she killed him, moving slower so she had time to revel in his antagonised screams, before spotting another pair arguing over who got to hide in a dustbin. Rolling her eyes in disgust, she ran over and gutted them both, spitting on their remains before looking round for more.

Ryland grabbed a particularlly small one by the back of the neck and dragged him over to another who had tripped and fallen. "Kill him," He ordered, uping the torture factor of the situation.

Wren laughed to herself as she heard his order, before eying another peering round the corner fearfully. She smirked and walked towards Ryland, counting on the fool to stay rivitted in horror.
"Keep that one busy, please." she muttered, glancing towards the one round the corner, hoping only Ryland would see. "I'll get him."

"Hello little friend," Ryland spoke to the vampire Wren indicated while keeping an eye on the vampire he had ordered to kill his own friend. "Are you okay?" he asked as a wet spot appeared on the front of the scared young vampire's pants.

Wren nearly burst out laughing as she saw this, but continued slinking away, before racing through the alleyway the leader had tied escaping through, trusting Ryland to keep them all occupied.
"Hello little friend." she greeted huskily, speaking into his ear from behind. He jumped and whipped round, but she simply grabbed his neck mid-turn, smirking as it snapped and he crumpled.
She glanced to Ryland and the last two. "Hmm, I've never seen that before." she admitted, smirking. "At least something good came from this, no?"

"Tonight would have been very boring," Ryland smirked and poked the vampire he'd ordered to kill his friend. "One of you kill the other one before I lose my patience and kill you both with a dull knife."

Wren smirked. "Either way you die." she added, walking towards them. "And neither of you will get any help. You're all alone...who's going to die alone?" she asked mockingly, putting on a voice with an almost childish ring to it. Her smirk widened.

Ryland chuckled as they both circled each other with determined looks on their faces. "You're trying to kill each other not win a school wresting match." He reminded them when they didn't seem to be doing any real damage to each other.

Wren frowned, now getting bored. "They're terrible." she stated. "Let's kill them." she suggested, looking to Ryland calmly, grinning again.

"Okay," Ryland said lazily and grabbed one roughly by the back of the neck. "You missed your chance." He ripped into the young vampire's throat.

Wren smirked and grabbed the other, this time using her long, sharp fingernails to claw out his throat. She turned to Ryland and smiled, dropping the body.
"Leave them here?" she asked hopefully. She never enjoyed the cleanup, and she did doubt whether Ryland would either.

Ryland nodded. "They're a little heavy to drag all the way back to the Meagan. Most of them weren't in shape at all."

Wren tsked and shook her head sadly. "Shame. I thought your mate was quite smart, too." she added. "N-No offence, my lord!" she added quickly, glancing to him.

Ryland shrugged. "I thought he was too once. Apparently not so." He sighed.

Wren sighed quietly. She'd slipped for a moment there, and she didn't like it. "I suppose no one is perfect, my lord?" she sighed as well, her mind casting back to her own lover. "And I guess opposites attract too..." she added quietly, speaking more to herself than to Ryland.

"I suppose," Ryland looked at her curiously but didn't ask.

Wren - who had always tried to avoid mentionings of her past lives and loves to others - hesitated, before turning to Ryland, wanting very much to change the subject.
"Where to next, my lord?" she asked, smiling in what she hoped was a reassuring way. She wanted Ryland to hear of her past least of all the people she knew - she didn't want him to lose respect for her, and not simply because she respected him back.

"The night is young. We could see if we can find worthy individuals to replace this lot," he kicked a body at his feet.

Wren nodded. "Indeed. After all, what better way to annoy Carden?" she agreed.

"Now now. We don't want to add to poor Carden's stress, do we?" Ryland asked jokingly.

Wren laughed. "Never!" she agreed sarcastically, "Shall we see what humans are in the Metro, my lord?" she added casually.

"Maybe we should clean up first," He looked down at his blood stained clothes and snapped. Another vampire appeared at his side and looked up at him expectantly. "Bring us some clean things to wear. We can't scare off potential victims."

Wren blinked at the speed of the conversation., watching as the vampire scurried away. "Hmm...somehow I can never seem to remember the dry-cleaning bill until it's too late." she joked quietly.

"It always ends up messier than expected," Ryland looked at the scene around him with a grin.

Wren laughed. "Of course!" she agreed. "These are humans, after all." she paused, unsure how to say what she wanted. "Umm...are we going back to the Meagan to change?" she asked.
