Pulling weeds from the garden

Ryland held the door for Wren again on the way in. Although his mate wouldn't think so, he was a gentleman, born and bred. As he looked off to a corner were a bunch of young vampires were gathered together conspicuously he rubbed his eyes tiredly and sighed. Why had William picked so many foolish recruits?

Wren smiled as Ryland held the door for her again. However, the smile was replaced by a look of seriousness as she saw the young vampires. She could have sworn she'd seen one or two of them in the shopping centre before...she'd actually mistaken them for humans. How embarrasing on their behalf.
"After you, my lord?" she told Ryland, motioning to the vampires.

He sighed again and lead the way, plastering a very fake warm smile on his face as he approached the younglings. "Hello children," he spat although they were all young adults before they'd been turned. "Having fun?" He turned to wink at Wren conspiratorially when they cowered in fear.

Wren smirked slightly when Ryland winked at her. She turned a purposefully hungry gaze onto one vampire trying to act as a leader over the others.
"Are you lost?" she asked him mockingly, her smirk growing.

Ryland grinned at the little group. "This doesn't look like the Meagan to me. You might have taken a wrong turn at the corner. A simple mistake really, but we can show you the way back if you want." It wasn't a suggestion, and the way he said it made it obvious that they weren't going back.

Wren's eyes were locked on their faces, waiting for the fearful outburst that would probably come at any moment. The 'leader' opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him off. Killing their confidence was so much fun.
"Now, now, you don't want to make a scene, do you?" she asked, though it was hardly more of a question that Ryland's offer. "I'm sure you have quite the reputation here, what with all the time you spend here." She was mocking them, and she didn't care who knew it. She supposed she was showing off a bit, but she didn't care about that either.

Ryland nodded, sure that any theatrics on their part would help set an example for any other more cautious young vampires who were no doubt trying to blend in at the Metro as well. "We should go out back and chat a bit. How are your families? You've been visiting them right?" He watched the looks of fear on their faces. They knew they weren't supposed to go back to their old lives and every one of this group had broken that rule without a doubt.

Wren rolled her eyes but only elt Ryland see her do so. They were such idiots, and she detested people like them. However, she smiled creepily, her gaze still hungry. "Yes," she agreed calmly, "we should...chat."
They grew visibly more nervous, adn Wren resisted the urge to kill them there and then. However, she knew to wait. Patience is a virtue, she reminded herself quickly.

"Come on then," he jerked his head in the direction of the exit and grinned at them.

The one who seemed to be their leader asked, "What now?" causing Ryland to rub his eyes tiredly as if he felt a headache coming on.

"You really need to learn to speak only when spoken to," Ryland said dryly.

"But you did speak to me," the leader of the idiots said cluelessly, forgetting to use the correct title once again.

Wren nearly slapped a palm to her forehead. Humans were smarter than this (well, a few) - what had William been thinking, turning them!?
She reached out and grabbed the leader by the ear, yanking him down to around her level. "Do as you're told." she growled.

"We're running out of patience," Ryland said in an unamused voice and headed for the exit slowly. "Follow. Now."

Wren smirked, knowing they'd follow after Ryland's tone really hit them. Letting go of the 'leader', she walked after Ryland, glancing to him as if to say 'I'm having so much fun'.

He smiled back as if to say 'Me too' before crossing his arms outside the building and adopting a cold stare to fix on each vampire as they trailed out one at a time. Whoever is slowest to obey will be first to die.

Wren narrowed her eyes on the boys - for that was all she saw them as, if that, even - and glanced to Ryland again. "Hurry up!" she snapped, getting impatient.

Ryland counted them once it seemed there were no more coming out of the building. "Wasn't there one more?" He snarled. "I hope he doesn't think he can escape." His expression softened. "Wouldn't you know? It's your little leader who's missing," he sneered. "Some leader now, don't you think?"

Wren almost laughed at their expressions, as they realised Ryland was right. Her eyes snapped to a figure trying to creep out of an alleyway next to the Metro. Clearly he had snuck out the 'back way'.
Racing over to him, she pounced on him and ended up straddling his hips, pushing his face into the wet ground whilst holding his hands behind his back.
"Well, well, lookie what I caught." she taunted, glancing over her shoulder to see where Ryland was.

Ryland motioned for the group of young vampires to follow him and stode over to Wren and their little leader. "How brave of you. You volunteered to be the first to show your little friend what happens to those who break our clan rules."

Wren snickered and balled a fist against the leader's head, grabbing clumps of his hair. She yanked his head up sharply, grinning maliciously. "After you, my lord." she hissed into the leader's ear, glancing up at Ryland.

"Oh no no, you caught him. I'll give you the honor." Ryland smiled and kept an eye on the little group to make sure none of them would run away.

Wren grinned, nodded her thanks, and turned back to the leader. She moved to pin his hands down on his back with her knee, and used her freed hand to draw a knife from a pocket in her backpack.
In a few sharp, slashing movements, he was dead. Wren smirked and licked the stray droplets of blood that had splattered onto her arm. She tasted it and pulled a face, spitting it out mere seconds later. She glanced to Ryland and almost smirked.
"Should ahve known. Blood's as bad as his courage."

Ryland nodded knowingly and turned to the little group. "Any last words? Make your decision now. What you say may change my mind about you." He smirked and expected groveling. They were too dumb to realize that begging him to spare them would just earn a more painful death.

Wren turned to listen with mild interest. She wondered if any would be able to realise how much good grovelling would do them. Inwardly, she was torn between smirking and sighing in disappointment.
Apparently, none of them were able to see that, and all began begging. It really was pathetic, considering she'd survived being burnt at the stake twice (though it had certainly left its mark each time).
She glanced to Ryland, holding back a grin. "I believe it's your turn, my lord?"

"I believe so," Ryland smirked and rolled up his sleeves, tackling the closest vampire before any of them had realized he had moved and ripping at the young man's throat with his bare hands. "A little messy. This way but you'll thank me." He winked at his victim.

Wren laughed at last, thoroughly enjoying the looks of terror on the faces of those who remained. She blinked as one ran over to her and hugged ehr trouser leg.
"Pl-Please! D-Don't kill me! I'll do whatever you want! Just don't kill me!!" he begged.
Wren stared down at him in mingled surprise, disgust and loathing. Shr looked to Ryland again, already furious. "May I?" she asked, speaking through gritted teeth.

"Feel free," Ryland grunted, already on his next victim. The little group was scattering now like scared animals running blindly in different directions..
