Aliceabella stayed silent for a few moments after William and the other man had left before moving forward to stand next to Ryland. "I'm not even going to ask." She mumbled, going up on her tip toes to look at his neck.

Ryland looked at her for a moment and his facial expression changed from a tired one to a thoughtful one. If Tom isn't deemed suitable...

Ryland straightened. "We've made the trade. Now to go retrieve the prize."

Aliceabella frowned. "What was all that about?" An arm went around her stomach before she realised she'd done it.

"Revenge," Ryland grinned.

Aliceabella wrinkled her nose. "Nice."

"You need blood. Come with me." Ryland gave her his arm for support.

Aliceabella smiled gratefully. "I'll be alright, I can have some later." She whispered quickly.

Ryland released her and looked at her carefully. "What's wrong? Why aren't you in the clinic?"

Aliceabella bit her lip. "Well, there's something I need to tell you."

Ryland raised an eyebrow, "Can you tell me quickly?"

Aliceabella frowned. "I suppose so, it's just I'm not sure what your reaction will be."

"Just tell me. I need to go collect something, "Ryland crossed his arms.

Aliceabella sighed and looked down. "IthinkImightbepregnant." She muttered quickly.

Ryland sighed and moved away from the wall, not sure if he wanted to deal with it at the moment. "Take a test."

Aliceabella shrugged. "If you don't want it that's fine." She moved past him slowly, legs still shaking slightly.

"It's not that," Ryland ran a hand through his hair, since he had no other children besides Matt any biological fully vampire heirs would be needed. "I just don't have time to talk about it," he moved towards the door.

Aliceabella looked up at him, remembering what the vampire doctor had told her about Ryland's petty feuds. "Wait." She walked after him. "If your going out I might as well go out and buy a test and find out for sure, I can tell you when you get back."

Ryland paused a moment but kept walking, "You could go back to the clinic and ask for one if you don't want to leave the building."

Aliceabella shrugged. "Could do with some fresh air anyway."

Ryland shrugged and didn't stop. If she wanted to come that badly she could follow.

Aliceabella looked up at him. "Where are you going anyway?"

Ryland motioned to another vampire who nodded and left down a corridor. "To make a trade."

Aliceabella watched, small frown on her face. "What sort of trade?"

Ryland's grin turned into a smirk.
