William walked quickly until he made it to the city centre. He dodged people and looked around for a bus station, or anywhere that he could find a quick way to get far out of the city. Smiling when he found a bus station that had less than a five minute wait until it left again, William sat down on one of the small chairs in the plastic enclosure, trying to calm him children down before their long trip. "Shh," he whispered when Joshua whined. He was only greeted with a "Da!" from Christopher, making everything hurt worse. "Your father would rather raise someone else because he's made so many mistakes. I'm taking you three and leaving so we can actually live instead of being ignored."

William could still hear Mike and Sisky speaking. It was slowly killing him inside. He couldn't stay strong anymore when Christopher yelled out "Da!" again. He started sobbing, wishing that he could at least leave the children with Mike. He didn't think he could raise three children that looked like the man that he still loved but couldn't be with. He curled up on the bench as the bus drove by and stopped. He couldn't get on. He stayed curled up with his children, unable to control his sobbing. He was right when he said that love didn't exist....

Ryland put his hand to the back of his head again as he walked along, frowning as he felt that he had swelling there. He paused and backtracked a few steps. "I was wondering when he was going to get rid of you," Ryland told William casually.

William only sobbed harder, his children resting protectively on his chest.

Ryland chuckled. "Just think. If you'd never left none of this would have ever happened. You'd be somewhere you were familar with and never have to worry about your place. You'd never have to work for humans, and you'd be safe. No half-breed bastards either."

William continued to sob, unable to refrain from doing so anymore. "My children aren't bastards!" he choked out.

William couldn't stop himself from nodding helplessly as he sobbed, his children whimpering quietly. His arms had gotten even smaller, making his thin frame turn into a skeleton.

"Come home, William," Ryland said in a tired voice. "Quit messing around and come back where you belong. You were meant for me."

William shook his head frantically, reaching for his phone in his pocket. Carefully balancing his children, he quickly dialed Pete's number, trying to get away. "H-hello? Pete? Can you please come and get me?" he asked, still sobbing as he talked on the phone.

Ryland reached over and plucked the phone from William's hand. "Hello? Don't mind William, Pete. He's just upset that Mike called the wedding off. Sorry to bother you."

William frowned as he sobbed louder. "Pete! Please help me!" he gasped for air, hold his children even tighter.

"Bye," Ryland said casually as if nothing had happened, hanging up and stuffing William's phone in his pocket in one fluid movement.

William looked up at Ryland with wide eyes, afraid more for his children than for himself. He really had no reason left to live.

"Your little Carden monsters shouldn't be out in the cold," Ryland jerked his head as a sign that he wanted William to stand up.

William buried his face in his children's hair. "Shut up," he whimpered, trying to calm down Josh to no avail. The tiny child started wailing again, wanting its father.

William yelped, closing his eyes and doing as he was told. He was too afraid to do anything else as he stood there, his child wailing louder at the sight of its mother in pain. William thought for a moment. If I have a connection with Ryland, does that mean I can have one with Mike? Holding his breath, William concentrated on trying to contact the guitarist. Mike...

"Follow me. We're going to the Meagan." Ryland looked to make sure William was going to move, deciding to instead walk behind his former mate.

William held still, eyes wide. He didn't want to go back to the Meagan. Soon enough, all three of his children started screaming in his arms.

William shook his head frantically again, beginning to walk. He was still sobbing silently, realizing that there wasn't any hope left. He nearly tripped as his tears blurred his vision. It's like knowing that you're walking to your death bed...
