Sisky sniffled and started crying again. "I'm sorry," she apologized. Just because she'd ruined everything didn't mean a total stranger had to suffer for it.

"I don't know why he didn't believe me." Sisky whispered, allowing herself to be held. Her statement could have applied to a few different people.

Angel rubbed her back awkwardly. "Tell me about it."

"I tried to be friends with William because we were kind of close before... but he wouldn't believe me when I told him Mike didn't mean anything to me. I fell in love with someone close to William, but he's gone now too," Sisky sobbed into Angel's shoulder.

Angel stroked her hair. "Why did he go?"

"I don't know. He didn't say anything, just left," she clenched her eyes shut.

"Oh." Angel rubbed her back again, looking down at the little girl.

"Caitlyn liked him. I wonder if she even realizes he's gone," Sisky said in a soft voice, looking down at the baby as well.

"How so?" Angel steered her back to the living room and sat her on the couch.

Sisky's eyes widened, "But I have to leave. If William sees me here he'l have a fit."

Angel shrugged. "If he'd chuck you out like this then he's worse than a vampire." He rubbed the girl's back again.

Sisky looked a little confused because William was a vampire but she didn't say anything.

Sisky bit her lip and pulled away when she heard her name. She held Caitlyn as if she couldn't survive without the little girl. "I'll be right back."
