Shadowplay

Subject: Shadowplay Tue Dec 04, 2007 6:12 pm

Mike had never thought getting to his house could take so little time yet seem so long. As soon as the door was open, he called out for his boyfriend, receiving no answer. He dropped the grocery bags and, before he could add anything, the phone rang. "Please be William, please be William..." Mike ran to get it, frowning when he heard Pete on the line.

Sisky followed Mike in and stood in the middle of the room, staring at the walls as she gently cradled Caitlyn in her arms.

"Excuse me, I what?" Mike frowned even more at Pete's words. "Well we had one hell of a good reason." He paused, his eyes widening. "Who told you this? Who said that?" Without looking, he grasped the first object his hand could reach, which was a pen, which he snapped in two. "William...? I have to go. I really have to. If something happens then you'll have the right to kill me plenty of times." He hung up and ran past Sisky, back to door.

Sisky watched Mike go and closed the door after him. "I'll leave when he comes back or maybe before that." She told her daughter and sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall to cry. She set Caitlyn down so the little girl could turn into a kitten and play.

Mike stopped before he could step out of the yard. He ran back to his house and opened the door, just enough to see Sisky. "Hey, Adam." He pretended not to notice she was crying. "On the table next to you - the paper bag. Pastries. They're all yours." He smiled so she'd know everything was alright, and closed the door, running to the street.

Caitlyn mewed pitifully, no longer wanting to play and explore the house since her mother was sad. She put one of her paws on her mother's face, soft pad touching touching tearstained skin. "Do you want to try new food?" Sisky asked, smiling so she wouldn't scare Caitlyn. "Turn into a little girl and I'll let you try it."

Sisky put Caitlyn down and reached behind herself to unhook her bra. She pulled her arms into her sleeves so she could remove it and fixed her shirt back. "Don't look at Mommy like that." Sisky chuckled and stuffed her bra into the bag of baby clothes. She checked to make sure what she was wearing was unisex and whimpered slighly as she changed back to her original gender.

Sisky smiled at the pop that meant Caitlyn was becoming a little girl again. He reached into the bag Mike mentioned and pulled out a single pastry to share with her.

Angel poked his head around the door, watching curiously.

Sisky broke a tiny piece of the flaky pastry and fed it to Caitlyn. "You like that, sweetie?" He sniffled but still smiled at the little girl's reaction.

Angel smiled as he watched the family interaction.

Caitlyn was content with being fed for awhile but when her mother tried to nuzzle into her she noticed a difference and started to wail. She beat her tiny fists against Sisky's chest.

Angel raised an eyebrow and debated revealing himself.

Sisky blinked. "You don't like change? But you haven't even been out here for twenty four hours yet. Okay fine." He put Caitlyn down and fished the bra back out of the shopping bag. "I really hate these but if you want Mommy to be a girl he'll be one for you."

Angel's eyes widened. He scooted away from the door and leant his back on the wall.

Sisky took off his shirt and put the bra on, changing back with a little groan. She looked down to make sure everything seemed fine before putting her shirt back on, but while she wasn't paying attention Caitlyn turned into a kitten with a small pop and scampered over to the sound of someone moving.

Caitlyn found Angel but didn't meow at him because she had the rest of the pastry her mother was sharing with her in her little mouth.

Angel blinked and knelt down. "Hey little one." He patted the kitten's head. "Where did you come from?"

Caitlyn put down her stolen treat and purred happily.

Angel smiled and continued stroking the kitten's head. He picked up the pastry and offered it back to her.

Caitlyn meowed happily and took a bite of it.

"Where did you go, baby?" Sisky frowned then turned into a cat herself so she could heighten her senses.

Angel smiled. It was a pretty kitten.

The kitten finished the pastry off and made a sleepy sound, creeping closer to Angel hesitantly.
